A Feminist Science Centrifuge of Literature in Science

As we look at the literature produced by women we almost

always consider it to be a gendered literature. Literature
had always been gendered as female in the Latinate cultural
or scholarly traditions, related to both the materiality of
knowledge in the 19th and 20th Centuries and to antecedent
ones: genera, a nexus of identifiable features, intrinsic to
any considerations not only of the body, but even of its
digits, traits, residual affect on itself as a philosophical
corporeality—the one cell organism necessitates itself to
reproduce. This no scrutiny, theorization, bowdlerization,
summation, or decentralization, can correct for the
humanistic drive, the expression of its allure for us, the
devotion. Rights are self-evident.

Critical terms should have suggestions to operation. The

tadpole is both embryo and being. But we don’t need to go
there each time, to the smallest of forms.

However, science has gone to much much smaller forms

for its information, to the gene and much more deeply than
that. If it is of such universal depth, the life matter has a
story. Rather it contains all that a story must. Have we
arrived at a culture of cellular determinism? We thought
other ages were riddled with their inadequacies. I’d like a
scientist to assure me that science is keeping itself scientific
and not being put to some bent or another. But perhaps that
is a given, a humanistic given, because my view of science
is that it is unfortunately peopled in the academy, a
malleable set of soft economic interests that exist in
opposition to its antithesis in what I’d surmise is a very
risky enterprise. Not only unnuanced but uninformed by the
lack of tenuousness in the language in which the academy
presents its contributions to the receptors of its knowledge.

Moving beyond the inadvertent departure in scrutinizing

the biases of science and characterizing itself in the course
of a context of possible enhancements procured of the
academy, for the purposes of education and its merits in the
industries. The rate at which
any scientific-cultural advents made in the globalizing
activities which are ongoing now and leading toward more
interspersion by lesser governance, regulation, or standards,
can be attributed to a nation-state, the more distanced are
the national boundaries that reside between the academy
and the adjacent industries.

Whereas in liberal humanism, arts of knowledge whether

scientific or lyrical, were evidence of an endowment
whether viewed today as neurological or as energetic, or as
conceived by a verse in the Centrifuge of Thought.
