INTRODUCTION

The right to information Act, 2005, received the aren’t of the


President of India on 15th June, 2005

The Act provides for setting out the practical regime of right to
information for citizens to secure access to information under the control of public
authorities, in order to promote transpar ency go acceptability in the working of every public
authority go for matters connected there with or incidental there to.

The Act in aimed to fulfill the provision of democracy requiriy on in

The Act provides the right for the citizen to have the right to infor
mation of all public authority records except the intelligence go security organizations as tablished by
the central Govt. where the preservation of confidentiality of sensitive information in required for the
unity & integrity of the nation.

records folly cataloged go interned in manner go the iam which tacitates the right to information go
ensure that all records that are appropriate are computerized go access to all records is facilitated.

2 HOMESTEADS Homestead means the site of any dwelling house,


built by a landless agriculturist ( i.e. having less

any time.

After occupation is restored, the


occupant of the homestead shall become the
owner of homesteads go dwelling house subject
to the extent of homestead not exceeding five
cents (0-02 guntas) and the right conferred is
heritable go not alienable.

3 ASSIGNED LANDS This is a protective legislation


which came into force on 21-01-1977.
THE A.P the Act prohibits transfer of lands
assigned to landless poor persons for the

5 RECOVERY This act enables

defaulter or his surety, not
being a female up to 2years

limitation.

6 SUMMONS Collector , Sub –
