Hoenn Version
Welcome to Pokemon Hoenn Version. This version is a “master” version, of some sorts, which is
basically the last calling, giving all what this region has got to give before leaving. It's hard to explain.
If you read the Kanto Version before, then you might notice that in terms of levels, at least in the
beginning (trust me, this goes out the window by the 4th Gym), it's easier than the Kanto one. I'll make
it up, somehow. Oh I will.
For trainer data, here are the things that are omitted:
-Their placement (It's hard to pinpoint, so I had to go with my own imagination of where they'd be
placed)
-Their IVs (They're all perfect IVs unless Hidden Power (HP) says otherwise. By the same token, HP's
power is 70 unless stated otherwise).
Also some notes:

-This version uses 4th gen mechanics (Diamond/Pearl/Platinum/Heartgold/Soulsilver).
-No item location will be stated. This version assumes that all item placements are the same, except for
new items (i.e. new TMs).
-Any move tutors whose moves have become TMs will give you the corresponding TM.
-All of the opponents' moves will be PP maxed, so beware.
-The format used for the Kanto Version trainers isn't exactly going to come back. A slightly different
version will be used. It's this one:

-Certain areas and battles will have their music changed. I'll note them as we go.
-There's a new area to go to after certain requirements. It's also worth to note that the following events
are based on Emerald, not Ruby nor Sapphire. Despite this, though, certain elements will be from
Ruby and Sapphire.
-For your “rival”, this version will assume you play as Brendan. Thus, the rival shall be May. You can
reverse the characters if you're female, though.
-A few bits of the dialogue mostly in the beginning will be changed. The changes make the tone a little
more “suggestive” than most normal Pokemon games. So you've been warned.
-Whenever you find a shiny Pokemon, an appropriate transition will take place, with the Legendary
Beast music from Crystal playing.
-Whenever a gym leader or an elite 4 sends out their “signature” Pokemon, “Last Pokemon Standing”
from B/W will be used (except for the final battle).
Littleroot Town:
Welcome to your new home! After you've made your preparations in your new house, visit your new
neighbor's home. The girl's mom will come up and tell you May's upstairs. Once you're upstairs, she'll
repeat the first sentence, but when she notices you...
Oh, hi! Didn't see you there. Um...I'm May. Please to meet you. I...have this dream that we would
meet together, and seeing a lot of new Pokemon out there. Oh, this is getting silly, isn't it? We could be
here all day! Hehehehehe.....oh my gosh! I forgot! I'm supposed to help dad in his research! I'll catch
up later!
Then she goes away. Go down, and try to get out, the little boy will say that someone is in need of
help. Go out, and it's Prof. Birch! Open his backpack, as usual, and you'll find 3 Pokemon to choose
from. No matter what you pick, you'll have to face a Zigzagoon. After that, Birch will thank you, take
you back to his lab, and allow you to keep whatever starter you obtained.
Now, I know what it takes to be a real Pokemon trainer. My kid, May, is at Route 103 doing research.
Perhaps you could show her how it's done?
I really need you to see her. She'd really like to see you, really.
Great! Like I said, May will be at Route 103. You two have fun, will ya?
Then you leave the lab, and now we're in Route 101!
Route 101:
Welcome to the first route of the game! Nothing much to lose, really. Anyhow, here is the wild data:

yet, though.

And here we have our new format! It may be a bit cumbersome, but I can't think of any other way to
do this. Also, because putting the rival at lv.6 would really be unfair due to what Treecko and Mudkip
learn at that level, I'll instead give each an Oran Berry to hold. Also, May does have an X Attack, so if
you see her use it...good luck.

Petalburg City:
Welcome to Petalburg City! Everything that is supposed to happen happens. Also, no wild Pokemon
in the water. Sorry! However, the Ether that you get later is now TM 75 (Swords Dance). With that,
let's head out to Route 104!
...but before we can do that, someone wants us to visit dad. Yes, we have to go visit him to check his
gym out, and a boy named Wally comes out and he's heading towards Verdanturf Town. He needs a
Pokemon to accompany him, and Norman (your dad) loans a Lv.7 Zigzagoon to help him catch a
Pokemon. With that, the two of you (you and Wally) head out into the grass of Route 102.
You wait around here to watch for Pokemon to catch, right? Please watch over me while I find
something really good.
...yikes!
Wally finds a lv.5 Ralts, and after 2 tackles from the Zigzagoon, he throws the pokeball and catches it.
Yes! I got my Pokemon! It's all mine! Thank you, Brendan. That was great. Let's head back to the
gym.
You two go back, and thanks both Norman and you before heading out. Then dad tells you to head out
to Rustboro City for your first official gym badge. It'll take a few more badges before you can face
him. Anyhow, NOW we can head to Route 104.

Once you've done that, when you go out, someone seemed to have his goods stolen, so let's help him!
Oh look, it's the same Devon guy! Another Team Aqua grunt stole his goods that are supposed to be
delivered, so we got to get them back. He's headed out towards Route 116. But first, we got to go over
some stuff. The Cutter is still there, as well as the trainer school where you can get the Quick Claw.
Also, you can trade a Slakoth for a Makuhita. Finally, the fossil Pokemon you revive later on start at
level 25. Now we can head out to Route 116.
Route 116:
Alright! New route, which means new stuff! Um, before we chase after that Aqua grunt, though, we
got to go over the new data. Also, the super potion is now TM 54 (False Swipe). I can't think of a
better TM more appropriate, but oh well. Anyhows...

Welcome to da tunnel! Alright, the Hiker you'll meet later on is no longer there. That Poke Ball in the
top left is now TM77 (Psych Up). To your right, you'll meet the Aqua grunt that stole not only the
goods, but also a Wingull from earlier. He'll step back, and if you haven't already, heal up. I mean it.
Why? Well-*gets drown by evil laughter!* THEY ARE BACK, BITCH!!! XD
HEY! I can't just let you have the goods and this hostage! Tch! My boss said this would be an easy
job! But nope. I gotta do this the hard way. And hard way it is for you, kid! I'm no ordinary grunt,
y'see; an “admin” of some sorts. I'll show you the true terror of Team Aqua!

Slateport City:
Yo ho ha! Welcome to Slateport City! Here in this harbor, we find a variety of things. Unfortunately,
most of it is way beyond of what we can do right now, like the actual harbor and the contest house over
there. It's for higher levels, but you can still find some of the basic equipment for contests in there. If
you try to go to Route 110, you'll find Team Aqua guards. So there's only one place we can go to: The
Museum. But it has Aqua members trying to go in! Well, what we need to do is find out about the
whereabouts of Captain Stern. Do that, and we can enter.
In it, we find the grunt from Petalburg woods, and he'll give you TM 46 (Thief) before running off.
Anyhow, go upstairs, and you'll find Captain Stern. Give him the parts, and two Aqua grunts will come
up for them. Unlike last time, let a double battle commence!
Aqua 1: 'ey! Are you Captain Stern? Hand over the goods!
Aqua 2: Yeah, those belong to us!
The two aquas get closer. You step forward.

Welcome to Route 111! I'm going to separate this into 2 parts: Normal and Desert. We'll do normal,
first. Now, the Winstrate family is still there, and I'll get to that later. The HP Up is now TM 65
(Shadow Claw). Also, if you're an OOT fan, and don't like getting fangasmed, then you might want to
mute the audio during this part of the game, because the music that plays here is Gerudo Valley. This
also plays in Route 112, by the way. Speaking of which, the Winstrate house has the Windmill Hut
playing as well.
