1 Căptușiți vasul Varoma cu pergament și puneți-l deoparte. Căptușiți 2 farfurii mari cu


șervețele de hârtie și 2 foi de copt cu pergament și puneți-le deoparte.

2 Așezați lapte, 3 oz apă și drojdie într-un vas de amestecare și încălziți 2 min / 100 ° F /

3 Add flour, salt, honey and vanilla and without measuring cup knead 3 min/ while adding
cubed butter little by little through hole in mixing bowl lid onto rotating blades. Form
dough into a ball, transfer to prepared Varoma dish and set aside. Clean mixing bowl.

4 Place 20 oz water into mixing bowl, set Varoma dish into position, secure Varoma lid
and heat 45 min/150°F/speed 1.

5 Transfer dough to a lightly floured surface. Roll out dough with a rolling pin to a
rectangle (approx. 13 in. x 10 in. x ½ in.). Cut dough with a cookie cutter (3 in.) with a 1½
inch hole in the center. Transfer to prepared baking sheets, separating donut holes onto
a separate baking sheet, cover with cling wrap and let rise in a warm place until doubled
in size (approx. 40-50 min.).

6 Heat 24 oz oil in a deep saucepan or deep fat-fryer until temperature reaches 375°F.
Working in batches of 2-3 donuts at a time, fry for 2-3 minutes (375°F) turning over
halfway through cook time with a slotted spoon. Carefully remove donuts from hot oil
and transfer to paper towels to drain. Bring oil temperature back up to 375°F and repeat
with remaining donuts and holes. Transfer to a wire rack and allow to cool before icing.

Tips & tricks

Reroll dough scraps, as necessary.

The amount of oil needed depends on the fryer you use. Follow the manufacturer's directions
if using a deep-fryer. If using a heavy, deep large saucepan, you'll want to pour the oil to a
depth of about 3-4 inches—deep enough to allow the donuts to float in the oil and monitor the
temperature with a deep-fry or candy thermometer.

Instead of icing the donuts, roll them in cinnamon sugar or powdered sugar.
