IMPORTANT NOTE FOR SINGAPORE CABLE

MODEM USER
Please follow the Step-by-Step Guide
1. Make sure that both the cable modem and the HW550-3G are switched off.
2. Connect the device shown in the diagram.
3. Using an Ethernet cable connect your Cable Modem to the Aztech HW550-3G’s WAN port.
4. Connect the power adapters on both cable modem and the Aztech HW550-3G.
5. At the back of your computer look for the ethernet port, connect an ethernet cable to your
computer’s ethernet port then connect the other end of the cable to the Aztech HW550-3G’s
LAN port.

6. Switch ON the Aztech HW550-3G.

7. On your computer launch your Internet browser then type 192.168.2.1.

8. Authentication page will pop-up, type admin for the username and admin for the password
then click OK.

9. This will launch the HW550-3G’s Web User Interface, Go to Wizard to setup your router.
10. Under Wizard Page click Next to proceed with the setup.

11. Select the Time Zone from the drop down box then click Next.

12. Under Internet Connection Type page, select Ethernet WAN then click Next.

13. Under WAN, set the Connection Method to DHCP, Host name and other fields are optional. Click
Next to proceed to the next step.

14. Under Wireless Setting, tick Wireless Enabled, Broadcast SSID Enabled. Enter the Wireless
Name of your Router into the SSID field. Tick WPA Enabled to secure your Wireless network
then enter the password that you would like to use.

15. Under Summary page confirm all the settings that will be loaded into the router. If the
information are correct click Apply for the settings to take effect.

16. Switch ON the cable modem and wait for the Online LED to become steady.

17. Go to your Aztech HW550-3G Web User Interface, under Home tab the Connection Status
should be connected to Internet before accessing the Internet.

Note: If Connection Status does NOT change to Connected to Internet, Switch OFF both the cable
modem and the HW550-3G for 30 seconds. Switch ON the cable modem and wait until the Online LED
to be ON then switch ON the HW550-3G.
