The Influenza Attack

By Adam Webb

Version 1

INT. Blood vessel/ stream near the Lungs

The Camera is positioned at the wall of the vessel

looking at the cave – like space. The scene immediately
opens with the red blood cells floating along a path that
has little amount of light. (Name appears and fades out)

The camera zooms into the shadow in the background, the

music begins to play softly to indicate something is
about to take place.

The virus slowly floats out, wiggling some of it’s spines

to appear alien within the surrounding space and heads
towards the camera until it has completely passed it. The
camera cuts to focus and look behind the virus to see it
complete it’s journey towards the floating cells. (Name
appears and fades out)

The camera cuts to a side view to see the virus position

itself amongst the cells and stretches it’s fronts spines
to appear jaw – like and ready to strike.

CHOSEN RED BLOOD CELL

(CLOSE UP)

Camera tracks the victim cell as it floats towards the

virus. (Name appears and fades out)

The music makes a sudden piercing shriek as the virus

catches the victim shown by the jaw spines striking at
fast speed.

The virus’s outer spines begin to slowly wrap round and

secure the cell in a strong hold, unable to escape.

The camera zooms into the trapped cell and the virus
slowly burrows into it, pushing through the outer
membrane.

EXT. Blood vessel/ stream near the Lungs

The virus’s descent becomes more intense as it pushes

further and watch it completely tunnel into the cell.
(FADE OUT)

INT. Interior of Red Blood Cell

The camera reveals establishing shot of the inner

structure as a vast landscape, showing the dome of RNA in
the distance (Virus’s objective)

The virus slowly floats in from off screen and music

starts again softly as it heads towards the branch – like
structures that block the path to the RNA.

The branch – like forms begin to react and stretch in the

pose of striking tentacles.
The music builds up dramatically as the virus moves
swiftly to avoid the hammering blows of the tentacle –
like forms until it reaches the exterior of the dome.
(Name appears and fades out)

The Endoplasmic floats down slowly and gracefully past

the dome and virus. (Name appears and fades out)

The virus pushes through the outer dome and easily

squeezes through the layer.

The camera looks up at the RNA as a towering form and the

virus floats into view and up the structures to find a
spot.

INFLUENZA

(CLOSE UP)

The virus’s front spines/ jaw extend and connect to the

RNA ready to deploy.

RNP is released by the virus and spread throughout

causing the RNA to change to an effected colour and
wither. (Name appears and fades out)(FADE OUT)

The camera returns to show the RNA and viral RNP fused
together inside protein capsules next to the lifeless
towers of RNA as the capsules are launched off screen.

The camera focuses on the cell’s surface as the capsules

land and plants themselves, indicated by the extension of
a few spines to root them in place.

EXT. Interior of Red Blood Cell

Camera zooms into one pod that splits open and a virus
grows from it pushing through the inner membrane and
vanishing off screen.

INT. Blood vessel/ stream near the Lungs

The camera looks down at the cell as multiple viruses

form and push away from the host. The camera pans round
to follow the path of the newly formed viruses as they
float off into the distance.

EXT. Blood vessel/ stream near the Lungs

The camera focuses back on the host cell as a dying form,

withering and fading in colour. Music also dies away to
represent this. (FADE OUT)
