JULY
HOUSE   CLOSURE.   The   Hermana   Martha’s   Con-­‐
vent   in   Sacred   Heart   Mission   Parish   was   tempo-­‐
rarily  closed  last  July  1.

CATECHETICAL   STUDIES.   The   Sister   Aspirants  


reported   to   the   Caceres   Catechetical   Center   in  
Naga   City   for   their   Catechetical   Formation   and  
Studies  last  July  1.  They  were  formally  turned  over  
by  Sr.  Ma.  Gabriela  Dioneda  and  Fr.  Efren  Bantog.

POSTULANTS’   RETREAT.   The   Sister   Postulants  


underwent  a  retreat  last  July  5-­‐10  at  Sentro  San-­‐
tissima  Trinidad,  Bonga,  Bacacay,  Albay.

RPS’   VISITS.   The   RPS   visited   two   parishes   for  


the  month  of  July;  the  Our  Lady  of  the  Miraculous  
Medal   Parish   in   Mataoroc   Minalabac,   Camarines  
Sur,  last  July  5  and  the  San  Antonio  de  Padua  Par-­‐
ish  in  San  Antonio,  Milaor,  Camarines  Sur,  last  July  
12.   He   celebrated   and   preached   for   the   7:00am  
mass  in  each  of  these  visits.

SCHOOL  OWNERS’  MEETING.  The  RPS,  together  


with  Fr.  Tirso  Gliponeo,  attended  the  meeting  for  
the   School   Owners   in   Bicol   Region   last   July   9   at  
the  Ateneo  de  Naga  University,  Naga  City.

DIALOGUES  WITH  LAY.  The  RLS  conducted  indi-­‐


vidual   dialogues   with   the   lay   members   based   in  
Sacred  Heart  Mission  Parish  last  July  11-­‐12.

munity  of  the  Society  of  Our  Lady,  together  with  
the  Kapamilya-­‐SOLT  and  other  guests  and  visitors,  
gathered  last  July  15-­‐17  for  the  Closing  Ceremo-­‐
nies   of   the   Yearlong   Jubilee   and   Foundation   An-­‐

niversary  Celebrations  at  the  Our  Lady  of  the  Most  
Holy  Trinity  College  Seminary,  Naga  City.
The  Community  started  to  gather  in  the  morning  
of  July  15,  which  was  followed  by  the  formal  open-­‐
ing  through  the  Mass  celebrated  and  presided  over  
by  the  RPS  at  6:00pm  and  the  vigil  right  after.  Dur-­‐
ing  the  Mass,  Postulants  Patomphorn  Mangkangsa-­‐
nga  and  Sawaluk  Penporntip  also  formally  entered  
the  Sisters’  Novitiate  Formation  while  Sr.  Ma.  Faus-­‐
tina  Resari  renewed  her  profession  of  the  vows.
The   highlights   in   the   morning   of   the   next   day,  
July  16,  were  the  blessing  of  the  Seminary,  presided  
over  by  His  Excellency,  Most  Rev.  Jose  R.  Rojas,  D.D.,  
Bishop  of  Diocese  of  Libmanan  and  the  celebration  
of   the   Mass   presided   over   by   the   Bishop   to   honor  
Our   Lady   and   to   commemorate   the   Foundation  
Anniversary  of  the  Society  of  Our  Lady.  Before  the  
blessing,   the   RPC   awarded   Testament   of   Merits   to  
some  priests  
The  lunch  became  for  the  assembly  a  date  served  
with   sumptuous   meal   and   colored   by   the   singing  
„‡ŽŽ•ƒ†„ƒ„‘‘ϐŽ—–‡•‘ˆ–Š‡‰—‡•–•Ǥ
At  3:00  in  the  afternoon,  the  assembly  boarded  
vehicles  for  the  motorcade  around  the  main  streets  
of  the  City  of  Naga.  Some  members  joined  the  Car-­‐
melites  for  the  Mass  to  commemorate  the  Feast  of  
Our  Lady  of  Mt.  Carmel  at  the  Carmelite  Monastery  
right  after.  
The  day  ended  with  the  Cultural  Night,  featuring  
the  presentations  from  the  houses  and  from  some  
guests.   During   the   program   too,   the   Sisters’   Com-­‐
munity   paid   tribute   to   Sr.   Ma.   Bernadette   Malaiba  
and  Sr.  Mary  Grace  Climaco.
The  assembly  gathered  again  early  in  the  morn-­‐
ing  of  July  17  for  the  concluding  Mass.

MASS,   FAMILY   DAY.   The   Formation   Center   resi-­‐


dents  revived  the  regular  third  Sunday  Mass  sched-­‐
ule  with  the  Holy  Family  Parish  last  July  19.  The  reg-­‐
ular   monthly   family   day   for   the   Formation   Center  
happened  right  after  the  Holy  Hour  in  the  evening  
of  the  same  day,  also  with  the  team  of  the  parish.

HOUSE  RE-­OPENING.  The  Sisters’  Convent  within  


the  jurisdiction  of  the  Holy  Family  Parish  re-­‐opened  
last  July  20  with  Sr.  Mary  of  the  Corpus  Christi  Bañas  
as   the   House   Servant.   The   convent   also   serves   as  
the  temporary  Aspirancy  Formation  House  for  the  
Sisters’  Community  with  Sr.  Mary  John  of  the  Trans-­‐

ant  while  remaining  as  the  Vocation  Servant  as  well.  
Under  Sr.  Mary  John’s  care  were  Aspirants  Daisy  Ba-­‐
lansing  and  Jonna  Estorminos.

MEETING,  SIGNING  OF  MOA.  The  RPS,  Fr.  Alejan-­‐


dre   Vergara   and   the   Regional   Secretary   appeared  
before  Bishop  Lucilo  Quiambao,  D.D.,  and  the  Chan-­‐
cellor   for   a   meeting   last   July   22   at   9:00am   at   the  
‹‘…‡•ƒŠƒ…‡”›ǡ‡‰ƒœ’‹‹–›Ǥ—”‹‰–Š‡‡‡–-­‐
ing,  the  Memoranda  of  Agreements  for  the  Parishes  
of  Nstra.  Sra.  Del  Santissimo  Rosario,  Sacred  Heart  
Mission,   St.   Michael   the   Archangel,   St.   John   Nepo-­‐
mucene,  St.  Joseph  the  Worker  and  Sta.  Florentina  
were   renewed   for   another   ten   years.   Fr.   Andres  
Baliwas  witnessed  the  signing.

RE-­ENTRY   OF   REGENTǤ ‹…Šƒ‡Ž ƒ””ƒ‡†ƒ ‘ˆϐ‹-­‐


cially  started  his  re-­‐entry  program  to  the  formation  
for   the   Clerical   Community   of   the   Society   of   Our  
Lady  last  July  22.  He  was  assigned  to  and  under  the  
guidance  of  Fr.  Edgar  Barias  in  St.  Joseph  the  Work-­‐
er  Parish,  Villahermosa.
 
DIALOGUES.  The  RPS  had  individual  dialogues  with  
Fr.  Arturo  Añonuevo  and  Fr.  Dulcisimo  Olavario,  Jr.,  
last  July  22,  1:00pm,  at  the  SOLT  Theolo-­‐gy  House,  
Villa  Sorabella  Subd.,  Con.  Grande,  Naga  City.

MEETING   WITH   FORMATORS.   The   RPS   had   a  


meeting  with  the  Formators  of  the  Our  Lady  of  the  
Most   Holy   Trinity   College   Seminary   last   July   22,  
3:00pm,   at   the   Our   Lady   of   the   Most   Holy   Trinity  
College  Seminary,  Cararayan,  Naga  City.

PERPETUAL  PROFESSION  PREPARATION.  Sr.  Ma.  


ƒ–‹ƒ‘”Žƒœƒƒ†”ǤƒǤ‰‡Žƒ‡‹•ƒ”‡’‘”–‡†
last  July  27  for  their  preparations  for  Perpetual  Pro-­‐
fessions  at  the  Sisters’  House  of  Postulancy  in  San  
Miguel  Island,  Tabaco  City.

ORDINATION   ANNIVERSARY   CELEBRATION.   Fr.  


Jay   Gapayao,   Fr.   Fausto   Rodel   Malanyaon,   Fr.   Te-­‐
odolfo   Medina   and   Fr.   Noel   Balderas   celebrated  
their  Sacerdotal  ordination  anniversary  last  July  28  
ƒ––Š‡”ƒ’‡•–‹‡‘ƒ•–‡”›ǡ‡‰ƒœ’‹‹–›Ǥ ”Ǥ ‡”Ž‹‡
Millena  and  Fr.  Jerry  Llona  however  were  not  able  
to  come  due  to  their  respective  schedules.  A  lunch  
was  prepared  by  and  shared  with  the  Sisters  in  the

noontime  of  the  same  day,  which  was  followed  by  
the  mass  presided  over  by  Fr.  Medina  at  3:00pm.  

ST.  MARTHA’S  DAY,  RECOLLECTION.  The  person-­‐


nel  of  the  Formation  Center,  Putiao,  Pilar,  Sorsogon,  
had  a  recollection  with  Fr.  Fausto  Rodel  Malanyaon  
last  July  29  at  the  Lay  Center.  Agape  and  fellowship  
followed  in  the  afternoon  of  the  same  day.

AUGUST
JUBILEE  FOR  VOCATIONS.  The  Vocation  Team  at-­‐
tended   the   Jubilee   for   Religious   Vocations   in   the  
Diocese  of  San  Jose,  Nueva  Ecija,  last  August  3.

PRIESTS’  DAY.  The  Sisters  and  Lay-­‐residents  of  the  


Formation  Center  prepared  and  facilitated  an  activ-­‐
ity  to  honor  the  priests-­‐residents  of  the  Regionalate  
du-­‐ring  the  celebration  of  the  Priests’  Day,  August  4.

MARITIME   PROCESSION.   The   RPS,   together   with

for   St.   Joseph   the   Worker   Parish,   Villahermosa,  
Rapu-­‐Rapu,  Albay,  last  August  7  for  the  Annual  Ma-­‐
rian   Maritime   Procession.   In   the   morning   of   the  
next   day,   the   RPS   became   the   main   celebrant   and  
preacher  of  the  Mass  for  the  said  activity.

COMPREHENSIVE  EXAMINATIONS.  The  Theology  


Brothers,   candidates   for   installation   to   the   Minor  
Ministries,   underwent   the   required   oral   compre-­‐
hensive  examinations  last  August  11.  The  panel  of  
examiners   was   composed   of   Fr.   Stephen   Loria,   Fr.  
Arturo  Añonuevo  and  Fr.  Reynaldo  Bea.

SISTERS’   RETREAT,   RENEWAL   OF   PROFESSION.  


”ǤƒǤ‘”ƒœ‘†‡ ‡•—•ƒ…‡”‡•ƒ†”ǤƒǤŠ‡”‡-­‐
sa  of  the  Divine  Mercy  Boaloy  underwent  a  retreat  
with  Fr.  Noel  Balderas  last  August  12-­‐14  at  the  For-­‐
mation  Center.  The  Sisters  renewed  their  profession  
of  the  vows  during  the  Mass  for  the  Feast  of  the  As-­‐
sumption  of  Mary  at  the  Priests’  Novitiate  Chapel,  
August  15.
