Report for the year 2010

Respected Vicar of the Church Rev.Abraham Panicker.G, our Chief

Guest Rev.Kochu Koshy Abraham, well wishers and all the members of the Parish.

Greetings in the name of our Almighty Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
May this year be glorious and peaceful to the whole world especially to our
nation.

I am very much happy to present the Report of our Parish for the year 2010.
Our Parish was formed on December 1996 and had completed 14 years. During
the year, we got the able leadership of Rt. Rev. Abraham Mar Poulose Episcopa,
our Diocises Bishop. We thank Lord Almighty for providing us with efficient
Vicars. Rev. George Jose was the first Vicar of our parish. Subsequently,
Rev.Susheel C.Cherian, Rev.Daniel Mathew, Rev.Sabu Thomas, Rev.Kochu
Koshy Abraham and Rev.Anil Abraham and now Rev.Abraham Panicker.G have
served our Church very honestly and with dedication.

During the year Rev.Anil Abraham had been transferred to Ahmedabad

Jerusalem Marthoma Church and Rev.Abraham panicker.G had taken over the
Charge of the Vicar of our Parish from 1st May 2010. We thank God for the
spiritual leadership and dedicated service we are getting from Panicker Achen and
his family.

Last year we had celebrated our Parish day on 17th January 2010.
Rev.M.J.Joseph, Vicar of St.Thomas Marthoma Church, Santacruz was the Chief
Guest.

Regular Worship Services have been conducting on all the Sundays. On 4th
Sundays Worships have been conducted in English language. Following
Organisations are functioning actively in our Church. Sevika Sanghom, Sunday
School, Yuvajana Sakhyam, Senior Citizen Fellowship, Edavaka Mission and
Choir. Details are given below :-

1. Sevika Sanghom :- Cottage Meetings are held on every First Saturday at the
residence of our Sevika Sanghom members. Fellowship meetings are held on
every second Saturday at our Church.

2. Sunday School :- Sunday School classes are conducted immediately after the
service on every Sunday.

3. Yuvajana Sakhyam :- Yuvajana Sakhyam meetings are held on every Sunday

after the Service. During the year, our Yuvajana Sakhyam members have released
4 editions of “THINK” Magazine.

4. Senior Citizen Fellowship :- Senior Citizen Fellowship meetings are held on

every 3rd Sunday at the residence of our senior members.

5. Edavaka Mission :- Fasting Prayer meetings are conducted on every Friday at

our Church. Chain Prayer meetings are held on every first Tuesday of the month.
6. Choir :- Our Parish had the privilege of a dedicated Choir whose members are
giving a valuable service to the parish.

In addition to the above, Area Prayer meetings are held on every Sunday.
Our Parish is having 4 Area Prayer Groups, that are (1) Chandivali/Sakinaka Area
Prayer Group (2) Marol/Church Road/J.B.Nagar/Sahar Area Prayer Group (3)
Bhavani Nagar/Vijay Nagar/MIDC/YAC Nagar Area Prayer Group and (4)
Military Road Area Prayer Group. Every Sunday, prayer meetings are held on 2
Areas.

By the Grace of God, during the year the following programmes were
carried out in our Church with the co-operation of the members of the Parish;

1. Harvest Festival was celebrated on 7th February 2010 and 7th march 2010. All
the members of our Parish have actively participated in the harvest festival.

2. Regular Prayer meetings were held at our Church during the Great Lent period
from 15th February 2010 to 26th March 2010 from Monday to Friday at 7.30 P.M.

3. Passion Week Programme had been conducted from 28th March 2010 to 4th
April 2010, i.e. from Hosanna Sunday to Easter Sunday.

4. A Retreat for the members of the Executive Committee for the years 2009-10
and 2010-11 was held on 4th June 2010 at our Church under the leadership of our
Vicar Rev. Abraham Panicker. G. The message given by Achen was very much
inspiring to the members of the Executive Committee.

5. A one day Conference of Mumbai Centre Yuvajana Sakhyam was held on 15th
August 2010 at our Church.

6. Onam Festival was celebrated by our Parish on 5th September 2010 by arranging
various entertainment programmes. “Onam feast” was also served on that
occasion.

7. A Dhyana Yogam was held at our Church from 9th September 2010 to 11th
September 2010. Rev. P.P.Kuruvilla, Vicar of Chembur Marthoma Church was
the main Speaker.

8. A One day Conference of Mumbai Centre Sevika Sanghom was held at our
Church on 9th October 2010 at our Church.

9. V.B.S. for Sunday School children were held at our Church from 1st November
2010 to 7th November 2010.

10. Our Parish Convention was held at our Church from 18th November 2010 to
20th November 2010. Mr. Johny Philips was the Main Speaker. The convention
was concluded with Family Sunday and collection of One Day Income on 21st
November 2010.

11. Christmas Carol Service was held on 23rd December 2010 at our Church.
Rev.Mathew Philip, Director of Navjeevan centre was the Chief Guest.
12. Watch Night service was held at our Church on 31st December 2010 from 10
P.M. onwards with testimony of the members.

I take this opportunity to extend my sincere thanks to all the members of the
Parish, members of various Organisations, especially the members of the
Executive Committee for their moral support and assistance to conduct all the
programmes successfully. I am indebted to Panicker Achen for the valuable
guidance and advice I am getting from him. I request the continuous support,
encouragement and prayers of all the members of our Parish.
