You will see how mySAP.com PLM Asset Life-Cycle Management allows you to create a request for a new PC or Notebook. You will
work through a scenario, acting as Anette Lord, director of the Human Resources of the Insurance Company.

1. Welcome to the tutorial on creating a request for a PC workstation for a new Employee. To log on to the mySAP
Workplace, enter the user name [lord] and press Return.
2. Enter your Password (demo) and press Return.
3. To log on, click the Logon button.
4. You find yourself in your personalized mySAP.com site. The right side displays your various, previous requests.
Now you wish to create a new request. To expand the structure, click on IT Support.
5. You want to request a new PC for a new employee named Tim Wright. Two pieces of information are important:
Mr. Wright's office location and the desired date of order completion. To begin the new request, click on 'Request
for new PC Workstation.'

6. The office location information is encoded as the Functional Location. Enter [IN-IC-HAM-100-ERG-002] and press
Return.

7. Enter 11/30/01 as the desired date and press Return.

9. To send the request, click on Send Request.
10. After sending your request, you receive on the right side a confirmation with the assigned number, here #
000010000083. To return to your start page, click on the home icon.
11. To update your list of requests, click on Update.
12. The request you completed now appears. Here you can check the status of your requests, based upon the red,
yellow, or green symbol. Thank you for your interest in Request for new PC Workstation.
