What is Graduated Art?

Graduated Art classes are classes for adults aged 18 and up. While there are often many
art opportunities for youth in our community, there is a gap in art programming for adults
and particularly, adults with special needs. We at VSA want to fill that need through
providing quality art programming for all adults. These classes offer opportunities for cre-
ating community, artistic education, confidence building, and self expression. Each year we
offer visual art classes, an opportunity to sing in choir, as well as an ever-changing

Summer 2011 Class Offerings

Picture This: Photography!
In Photography class, students will learn to use digital cameras in new and exciting ways! The class will end with a pho-
tography showcase where each student will walk away with a matted print of his or her favorite photograph. Classes
will meet Mondays from 6:00-7:30pm for 8 weeks (June 13-August 1) at VSA. Cost is $75.00 or $115.00 for both classes.
Glee!
Based on the popular hit TV show, students will enjoy learning simple dance moves, familiar songs, will play percussion
instruments and will end the class with a production for family and friends! Glee class will meet from 5:00-6:00pm on
Tuesdays for 8 weeks within a 10 week span (June 14-August 16). Classes meet at the VSA Offices, 1140 Monroe, NW;
Suite 4104. Cost is $65.00 or $115.00 for both classes.
