Price Protection / Inventory

1. Access the menu 'Processes at distributor'.

A precondition for price protection is the inventory report that guarantees identical lots on both sides. You can only test the
functionality if the lots at the manufacturer are different from the lots at the distributor.
2. Expand the 'Price Protection' node.
3. Double-click 'Transfer of DRM Inventory Data'.
4. Enter the effective date 05.08.2003, and choose 'Execute'.
5. Mark the flag for the inventory report.
6. Choose 'Send IDoc'.
7. The IDoc has been sent. Make a note of the IDoc number and go back to the user menu.
8. Double-click 'Test tool'.
9. Enter IDoc '1068', and choose 'Execute' .
10. Expand the structure for the segment.
11. This is the structure of the IDoc. The information that the distributors' lot contains 10 pieces is sent to the
manufacturer.
Click on the first segment.

The further steps where the modification of the IDoc is shown are deactivated here to not lengthen the i-tutor too much.
12. The IDoc has been modified and now contains the correct data.
Choose 'Standard inbound' to send the IDoc to the manufacturer.
13. Choose ENTER.
14. Choose ENTER.
15. Go back to the user menu.
16. Access the node 'Processes at manufacturer'.
17. Expand the 'Ship & Debit' node.
18. Double click 'DRM Staging Area (Release documents)'.
19. Click on the 'Display' icon.
20. Select the staging document with the status 'Unprocessed', and release it.
21. Go back to user menu.
22. Expand the 'Price Protection' node.
23. Double-click 'Inventory Reconciliation for DRM lots'.
24. Enter '2000' as tracking partner.
25. Choose the tab page 'Material-Quantity-Partner'.
26. Here, you see the difference between the 'Current Quantity' (14) at the manufacturer and the 'Reported
Quantity' (10) at the distributor. Select the entry.
27. Choose 'Change'.
28. Choose the 'Synchronize' icon to equalize the lot quantity at the manufacturer.
29. Note that the status has changed to 'Synchronized' and that the current quantity is now equal to the reported
quantity and choose save.
30. Go back to the user menu.
31. Expand 'Sell In'.
32. Double-click 'Maintain DRM Lots'.
33. Choose 'Execute'.
34. Note that the lot has been synchronized and now contains the same quantity as in the distributor's lots.
Go back to the previous screen.
35. You have finished part eight of the Distributor Reseller Management tutorial. You can now continue with part
nine: Price Protection (PP2).
Go back to the user menu.
