After earning a politics & sociology degree at Exeter University and her Postgraduate Certificate in Education at
York University, Pauline built up valuable experience teaching in a whole range of environments. In 1993 she
joined Bedford College as a lecturer, moving up to Course Manager and finally Assistant Director. She is a senior
examiner for a major examinations board and has been involved with examination marking for the past 20 years.
“What I really love most is teaching – that’s my passion,” says Pauline. “I teach A-Level sociology and politics,
and really enjoy taking students on trips and helping them to experience their course in a different environment.
It’s great to see students motivated to succeed, and they love seeing their results day photos when they do!”
