Engineering College always finds it extremely difficult to self praise and then
push the CV to the prospective recruiter in Overseas. Not knowing if it is going
to be greener pasture or just postponing the present problem of another job
switch . We are drawing the career roadmap for an excellent global experience in
the Construction , Factory, Energy Power Plants and Oil &Gas segments . Taking

The Backdrop
Often the first question comes: Do I really need a change and that too for
overseas? For senior experts, money is the least motivation. Yet who does not
want those rewarding Dollars income and at some places being Tax Free. What
indeed motivates any global career changes is to experience the project execution
with finesse of technology and tools. In the Project which have process with
Corporate Governance and Transparency. The interaction with cross culture
professional experts gives a new learning and understanding in the mid and last
lap of career roadmap. For Engineering Fresher, it is the best foundation to start
when they have a long innings to play. It is to challenge oneself beyond what one
is already doing. If you continue doing what you have done in the past, you will
get what you received in the past. Do you want to be a part of that global
workforce who recognise and appreciate your competence? Not by your mere
marksheet and degrees alone. The career roadmap goes on accelerated mode
when one performs in those demanding terrains. If you are content where you

A change is an innate desire of performing Engineering professionals. When you


are ready to unlearn, will the new learning happen.

The same applies to Fresher for Engineers passing out from Colleges. They get the
shock that the academics imbibed in campus and what the industry wants are not
in tandem. What the job market wants is simple 3 things: Skill , Skill and yes Skill
only . That too where the Recruiters can validate and not by the tall claims
mentioned in CV. They want the most contemporary skill that would benefit
them. Nothing beyond that. The vanilla Engineering graduate will surely get a job.
But is it really the “right” job where he/she always wanted to be? These days are
of specialisation and perhaps super specialisation like the Medical Doctors. Get
into Masters and PhD programme in Engineering after 3 years of overseas
working on self-earning and in a focussed domain. Knowing what you want. Not
just another me too overseas career. PhD is not to teach but be an Industry
Consultants for several clients, Research and Faculty also to mentor better sparks
than yourself. That is why they are most admired and deserve to make that 100K+
$ compensation also. And one should achieve all this before the age of 35 clocks

But the global job winning never happens with pushing CVs in all the directions.
One should understand the job market dynamics principles of Jeffrey J Fox, Nick
Corcidilos and Chris Resto. Maybe take the cue from Connect the Dots or what

Question : I always had the desire for overseas global Engineering experience
after watching this National Geographic and Discovery Channel TV
Programmes. In the process, I did send many a CVs but hardly the reply ever
came. And the various agents collected the CV and organised the interviews also
but was disappointed with hardly any clarity of the process. How do you do?

Ans : Firstly I never shoot your CVs to anyone . That competence or rather
incompetence is with anyone to do with a mere mouse click without application
of mind. The global job market does not happen with a mere CV push. The
prospective Recruiter has to do the credential validation which is sheer
impossible to make a judgement call based on the mere CV alone That is where
the NCCER – an independent regulatory body based in Florida, USA and
supported by the all the major Corporate giants is the platform for the best
practices of Safety and Standards in Engineering. The present mission is in
pursuit of Making Zero Accident a Reality . To make such mission successful
requires engineering experts who would refuse to make compromise in
execution. For them, Fire and Safety practices even after execution, is of exacting
standards. The Insurance and Finance companies will never approve the funding
and coverage till compliance has been made.

Hence we are facilitating the experts to go through the NCCER Programme held
most of them in USA and Mauritius. They are into some 15 odd streams of various
spheres of Construction Project Management, Green Construction to Pipeline,
Electronics and Communication Infrastructure in Building etc. Duration being
from 6 days to 6 months periods. Consisting of specialised Welding, Electrical,

skill and competence. That sure would Profit the Recruiter better. The hiring
Manager is able to make the remote assessment before engaging in the formal

contents are updated by you say even with 3 times a week of 20 min each, will

Question : But I am so busy in my existing projects, when and how will I do to do
these blogs and NCCER programmes. Can you not work out some other
solution?

Answer: To be candid and clear, I cannot do the overseas recruitment without


NCCER accreditation. Well in the Job Message Board , there are so many of the
prospective Recruiters . You can shoot the mail directly to them . The chances are
that you would be another me too. With NCCER tag, you would stand out
discernably and the winning of the job would be more predictable also. With
premium compensation for sure and global experience of excellence bound to
happen.

when NCCER accredited professional are working . You can interact directly with

expert Profiles. They are the one who is try to reach you when your profile has
the NCCER tag. Well I would always be your Talent Agent to scream to the best of

Construction Industry be it massive condos property or housing complex are


always being executed everywhere. Then the infrastructure industry of Highways
or Dam or Mining etc. is always on the growth path. The new factories keep
coming up and so also the Energy Power plants. Hence the demand is for
manpower too who are skilled experts. Not for another me too Engineers. They
have to understand as being an expert in Fire Hazard and best Safety Practices.
Disaster Prevention Management is the core of any Construction. The prospective
recruiter or investor in Projects cannot assign the responsibility to just anyone.

That is how The National Center for Construction Education and Research
(NCCER) Certification based in Florida , USA came into being relevant . It is
acceptable in 60 odd countries. This is something similar to Industry specific that
Microsoft or CISCO does in IT or the Chartered Accountants get the approval from
the regulatory body of ICAI . The details of the Programme Content can be

Question : I have just seen the above links. What are the Programme stream
that is immediately available? There are so many of the NCCER Programme. I
have understood all the links above and ready to join immediately.
Ans : The Power point in the files section of Message Board has a host of some 15
odd NCCER programmes. Just pick whichever is your interest. Then call me. I
would explain the scope then of the various options and challenges. The best
suitable for you can then be decided better .Do remain connected via the
Internet Job Message Board Any Engineering or Science graduate from any
stream can join. Later as you move in the career roadmap , can acquire more
NCCER Certification of your choice in other domains also depending on your
interest that will develop , once you are on the job. There are various prospective
recruiter who have NCCER Master Trainers in their company and sponsor further
expertise also. So make the first step with one NCCER certification and then
others will evolve as you scale the career

Question : Can girl graduates also apply ? Are there Women Construction
Engineers? I wish to interact with them and understand the scope

Ans : I am very happy you asked me this . Yes for sure, the girls can apply. I have
shared the link of Women in Construction Industry for North America. Then do
see the Video link again NCCER again for you to believe that how at an age of 22
managed to buy her property and at 19 bought her own car also. You must watch
those video links working in Stadium construction and High rise building complex.
The Canada has a specific focussed initiative for Women in Construction too in
Vancouver also. Please read their Mission Statement also . Go and talk to them
directly or I would interface when you are ready to be in action. The email id and

Entrepreneurs in Construction Management and Maintenance. . Once you are on
National Registry of NCCER , it helps any Recruiter to see your license to work as a
professional expert to be trusted with skills. Your assessment sheet of these 6
months and the subsequent months will be verified with NCCER identity code . Do

Question : I am an Engineer from Electronic and Electrical and my classmate is


from, Computer Science, IT , Instrumentation and Communication. We are very
keen for overseas career . How can this NCCER work as a catalyst?

Ans : We have a notion that NCCER is just for some Civil Engineering alone with
the use of the word Construction. In a Construction of Building or Airport or Malls
there is lot of factors of Electronics comes in play for IT and Network for Fibre
Optics layout. Deploying the Wireless communication across the building or
factory or energy plants. Access Controls and Automated Lifts are managed for
Detecting intrusion for Safety and Security . Please see the Building Automation
Technology company of Honeywell, Siemens , Emerson and United Technologies
who are the behind Otis Automated Lifts and Escalators and Carrier HVAC. They
are the leaders in Construction Technology . When you are NCCER accredited, you
are the preferred choice as your credentials can be validated from NCCER Web
Registry . Just mail your CV and I would do the Skill mapping for you to get the
idea and direction of career roadmap . I will send the NCCER Programme Content
and the Assessment Sheets also process which will be uploaded of the Skills
acquired which is fine tuned to industry requirement. Small things like National
Electrical Code standard etc are very critical for working in Overseas Projects . Do
spend some time to study the best of the Project executed by the prospective
recruiters of KBR, Fleur, and Jacobs Engineering like companies who recognise
NCCER credentials as a policy apart from what you have stated in the Cv and the

Question : I already working in Middle East and there is a stupid rules of


Akaama of Work visa. I cannot change my job unless the present employer
relieves me. I know many “ white” expat get better paid than us. The employer
has kept my passport in his custody. Its literally like a bonded labour. Can you
please help me to move to North American market where such bonds are not
there. I have understood the NCCER produce and know its worth for getting
career growth in North American market and Europe also with best HR
practices. But how do I get out of this present employer?

Answer : I am happy you shared your experience to benefit many more others. I
am not an immigration expert but can say that Immigration practices of Work Visa
in North America are very transparent and totally web enabled. With NCCER
accreditation there are extra points also for being invited to work with family etc
But we cannot fight the Middle East regimes. Yes the point of anxiety is that
passport has been retained by the present employer is criminally wrong. All you
have to do is to approach the Indian Embassy and document the situation. Hire
good Immigration Lawyer in Mumbai who will document and see that the Human
Right Convention laws protect you from being a bonded labour. When I
recommend the Middle East employers, I make sure that there is job offer and full
transparency in compliance to the local laws. Many like you from Middle East are
wanting to come back to India or prefer the English speaking countries of North
America, Australia , Europe, New Zealand etc for the best Social Security,
Healthcare and Education resources for the family. Just send me your skillset Cv

Question : I did my Animation and VFX Diploma Programme hoping someday to


get an overseas assignment. That perhaps is happening to those who have 5
years plus experience and are exceptionally creative. Now can this skill entitle
me through NCCER for overseas assignment.?

Ans : Since I happen to handling the Creative Design Jobs and get to meet many
desperate for the Job in the very Indian market. They are not really able to scale
like other domains of 6 digit salary. For Fresher and mid level, can surely change
gears to accelerate through NCCER route . Please spend seeing the following
Videos of Construction Animation. See how the Structure of Burj Khalifa, Dubai
has been animated with effects . Please understand that those with Autodesk
and AutoCad will surely have advantage in NavisWorks and Factory Designing .
Construction Simulation is very different from 3D Max like walk through . Building
Information Modelling can be used for OilGas pipe Building Pipeline design for
HVAC . The same can be used for City and Township Designing . Please see the
Video of Revit also. Now please understand that NCCER does not impart all the
Construction Animation Programmes. That you have to self learn from the web
resources. I will give the pointers of the source. You can get the tag of any of the
NCCER accreditation of Electrical, Electronic , Pipeline Management etc . Then
move into Construction Design Studios overseas. I have shared about them in the
Message Board also. This one too . Working for the Foster& Partners in their
Doha Project with specialisation in Clean Energy like areas. They all have to be
simulated before they get into site project.

Question : How relevant it for Entrepreneur Career roadmap in Construction


Industry when I can have my own business after 5-7 years of experience.

Ans Perhaps one has to read the page 90 of Connect the Dots. It will be home
delivered for a mere Rs 105 even without credit cards. Do you want to be
Hanmant Gaikwad for the North American market . Build a reputation like Bob
Tasca with focused Servicing in HVAC and Building maintenance It is indeed a way
to be in 200 Thousand Dollar + earning .Entrepreneur route is the best growing
option with NCCER tag. MBA with entrepreneurial attitude would do very well
with Techno skills of NCCER to meet their demanding aspiration at global level.
They do well in Cost Estimators and Finance expert in Construction Project
execution. Even the companies are getting NCCER endorsement to win Project
Contracts . Procurement Expert with NCCER + MBA in Construction Projects are
the great in demand . They eventually become Entrepreneurs as they understand
the cost reduction and Just in Time Execution for better profits better also.

Question : How much salary would I be getting and is the job guarantee there.
When will I get the job ?

Ans : I am happy you asked me this. No job guarantee can be given. We are being
brutally candid. Though the visa is issues for first 6 months and then later
converted to residence work permit in Mauritius with Job Contract with the local
Mauritius company extending for another 12 months . Thus total of 18 months l.
The salary is mutually agreed effective after 6 months . Then we would be getting
to the interface with the best of the prospective recruiters apart from the one in
Mauritius to those in Middle East , South Africa and Singapore like places. We are
not the decision makers but just facilitators. Since we are Recruitment
Consultants and Mentors , we would be keen to see that you win the job from the
overseas clients before the completion of 6 months of NCCER training . We will
be doing the interface with the prospective Recruiters. The NCCER certification
gives a unique identity code on the NCCER web site which the prospective
recruiter verifies and approaches you also. Then we are there to mentor you for
winning the job. Yes we charge one month fee that you would have to pay on
being successfully recruited. We only reduce the cycle of job search and bring you
to the gate of the recruiter. But you would have to demonstrate the skills acquired
in the 6 months of NCCER Programme and win the job. The NCCER certification
makes you the differentiation part from other job seekers. The Salary
compensation that are prevailing in North America are stated in the Message
Board files section starting from 20 Dollars per hour onwards to 50 odd Dollars
for the experienced professionals. One is allowed to work 40 hours a week. Now
you can calculate for yourself . But that is for North America with experience can
be cross validated here too . For Middle East and Mauritius , for Fresher it starts
around equivalent of some Rs 25,000 per month approx. to begin and being
NCCER certified would always be in demand to make accelerated career growth
roadmap. We obviously would negotiate the best for you . We do not promise for
the North American Job market immediately as there are immigration issues of
processing. But you would be on our radar always to scale up . The details process
of deliverable for Canada shall be sent later after 2-3 project cycle of experience
when you would have matured with experience and professional skill . We will
keep guiding through that process. It can happen earlier than 2 years also . But lot
depends on how well you get to display that contagious skill and attitude for the
Canadian market.

The initial job shall be in Mauritius or anywhere in the Middle East or African.
There are requirements from China also . We are exploring for ASEAN and
Australia also for the NCCER certified professional. You will be getting the job
after 6 months when the NCCER certification programme would have completed
in Mauritius Campus . That is why Study + Work Visa of 18 months is arranged so
that you get into the job market immediately. The work Visa are renewable
depending on how your perform with your prospective employer company .

Question : But what if I wish to study the same NCCER programme from US. Is it
possible? What shall be the cost of the same?

Ans : Yes sure it is possible from any of the campus that NCCER web sites
recommends and I have done the reviews also at the Message Board too . The
choice is yours . The same NCCER certification study in US campus is for 2 years
and would cost you around some 50-60 Thousand US dollars plus. Here in
Mauritius programme, it shall be only 7 thousand US Dollars for the 6 months
programme. Boarding and Lodging cost included will NOT be charged extra on
joining. Personal living pocket costs is your management of convenience to be
borne by you . But some 3-4 hundred Dollars per month is enough for a
reasonable stay. Flight costs shall be actual to be borne by you.. Organising Visa
will be our responsibility for the 6+12 months of Study cum Work Visa in
Mauritius. . The seven days Project Management Programmes for US are for the
senior experts with proven experience. Those details will be sent separately

Questions : I wish to do my Masters in USA or Canada after NCCER Certification


. How can you help me? I do not want the job immediately

Ans: I have done the review of the best of the US campus with their faculty and
resources in Construction Management for Master programme. Admission is
indeed very tough but when you have the NCCER certified and then followed by
the regular GRE score with the Statement of Purpose, you would get special
attention and preference. I have shared the profile of the various professional
leading upto PhD programme in Construction Management with NCCER

your pursuit is for knowledge and not another paper degree /marksheet degree.
You would enjoy the learning . May land up doing even the PhD too for one day to

100K $ bracket in North American market. Well by that time, your Professional

navigation too

Question : I have done my MBA and not into Technical but keen for overseas
career roadmap . Can I also join?

Ans: Being an MBA is indeed an advantage because later with NCCER


accreditation can get into specialised line of procurement or Marketing in
Construction bids etc. But the entire career pursuit shall be around technical
domain that you would be choosing. I myself am an MBA+ Law and not an
Engineer and was in Procurement of BS Specification Project materials when
working for Al Sabah General Electrical Company in Kuwait. Had to visit to the
Consultants for Tender specking , Winning bids and then get the indents raised for
the Electrical Projects that we used to market. Talk to me at 9440179822 and
would explain you better but only after I have understood your profile . I would
design the career roadmap that after three years of work experience overseas
lead you to become the Project Manager with sabbatical at Eastern Michigan
University in Construction Management . You would have funded your own
education also by then with learning-earning –learning mode. NCCER is the
launching pad to be with the best of the global company which have the best HR
practices and compensation too. Any engineering stream can scale in a planned
way.

Question Can I not get the job directly without NCCER Certification. I cannot
afford the fees of 7,000 US $?
Ans : No that is not possible because the prospective recruiters wants the NCCER
certified experts only. You can do the NCCER certification wherever you deem
best. It is NOT available in India. You then approach for the jobs to us and we
would facilitate the same to the prospective recruiters. That process will be
spelled out separately when you are ready with NCCER certification. It is just that
we recommend for the Mauritius base because it more affordable. We do NOT
promise admission in this campus also as you have to essentially a good English
communication skill also. There shall be telephonic test. If you have the TOEFL or
the ELTS score , it would make the selection more definite and predictable .

Look at Seven Thousand Dollar as an investment and not as an expense. There is


lot recovery of the investment with world class learning and global experience.
HDFC Credila provides the Educational loan as per the RBI guidelines upto Rs 4.0
lakhs to include the flight cost. Repayment starts after 6 months in the EMI that
suits you the best. Thus into Learning and Earning mode.

Question : How do I commence the process and when is the last date ?

Ans : The programme last date is 25th of every month and there are only 30
seats. More batches and stream keep on happening from time to time. Please
remain connected. But the admissions are on first come and first selected basis.
We will send you the admission form and you have to pay 25 $ directly to
Mauritius for the admission process facility before 25th of the month. Then you
shall be informed directly from Mauritius to when your programme is
commencing.
