It is recommended as normal maintenance that the RAM battery board of the FloBoss 103/104 be replaced.
The expected life of the battery under normal operation is in excess of five years (Page 1-5, FloBoss
103/104 Flow Manager Instruction Manual - A6114).
We are recommending this maintenance to avoid the following if the RAM battery expires:
• Possible unexpected loss of configuration
• Unexpected loss of all history
• Unexpected reset of ROC clock back to default date and time of January 1, 2003 - 8:00 AM
• Unexpected loss of event and alarm logs
These symptoms will occur when the RAM battery in the unit has expired and power is lost to the FloBoss
103/104. When power is returned to the unit, the FloBoss 103/104 will boot up, but there is a possibility of
the configuration being set back to the default. This would happen if the configuration was not saved to
flash memory. Also, history along with event/alarm logs will be lost and the ROC clock will be reset to the
default.
The part number to order a new RAM battery board for the FloBoss 103/104 is W28147X0022.
