Happy families
Feelings cards
Draw pictures on the feelings cards so that they illustrate the feelings. For example, on the
happy cards draw pictures that show members of your family doing something that makes them feel like
that. Make sure that there are two, four or six of the same feeling.
You can use the cards to play the game of pairs or any other game you can think of.
Pairs
Lay all the cards face downwards on the table. Take it in turns to pick up two cards. If these show the same
feeling you can keep them. If they show different feelings you have to replace them where they came
from. The winner is the person who has the most pairs when all the cards have been picked up.
Impor- tant
people in my life
Both of you write a list of all the important people in your life. (You might have to help your child to make
their list.) Talk about your lists together. These questions might help you.
Who are they?
How did you get to know them?
When did you last see them?
What is special about them?

Governor News
On Friday the Governors Premises Committee held their termly
meeting. This committee is chaired by Mr Allen, parent governor.
They looked at the School Development plan for premises issues
and had an update on the building works. They also monitor
maintenance, security, Health and Safety, Risk Assessments and Fire Drill. This had been
held last week and was one of the best seen with a very quiet and sensible evacuation on to
the field. After the meeting the governors toured the school and grounds on a Health and
Safety Inspection. Their next formal meeting will be in September.
Building News
During Monday’s assembly Mr Hughes, our building project manager
from Abbott’s spoke to the children about the number the different
workers that are on a building site and how it is important for them to
keep safe by wearing helmets, steel boots and high visibility
jackets. He also re-enforced with the children that building sites
are not playgrounds for pupils. He passed on to Miss Fisher the
answer to the Infants challenge, of how many windows are in the
new build, and prizes will be presented next week.
BRAMPTON GOLD BOOK
Striving to Reach the Best Weekly Attendance
Every week we print the names of those children who have
achieved in either their work, conduct or behaviour around
school and have been entered in the Gold Book. They have
been mentioned in Monday’s celebratory assembly. After 3
mentions children receive a bronze certificate, 6 mentions for a
silver, 9 mentions for a gold, 12 mentions for a Super Gold and
15 mentions for a Platinum certificate, 18 for Diamond, 21+
for a Head teacher’s Award and 24 for a Special Head teacher
Award and Badge. Week ending 13.5.11
