1 Introduction

This project relates to development of CMS based website along with necessary functionality
to make available loan and other related account information to members of The Postal &
R.M.S. Employees Co-op. Bank Ltd.

1.1 Project Understanding

The project consists of development of three major components as follows:

CMS Based Website

Account Information Module
Interface Utility

1.2 CMS Based Website

The CMS stands for Content Management System. The main feature of CMS based website is
that it can be updated through an admin panel even by a novice user. The admin panel gives
tools to update various sections of the website like introductory text, news & events section,
announcements etc.

MRD’s Responsibility: MRD will be responsible for following:

1. To design top quality UI (User Interface) of the site as per UA (Usability Architecture)
guidelines.
2. To design and implement robust backend database.
3. To code and integrate UI and database.
4. To do content writing for first release.

1.3 Account Information Module

The module will be for the special need of the bank to provide online information of loans and
other related products to its members. Following are some of its functionalities:

1. The member will be able to view her/his account information date wise by logging into
the website.
2. The member will also be able to raise issue through their online account.
3. This module will also be responsible to produce various kinds of reports for admins.

 4. Admin will be able to post announcements to the members.
5. Admin will be able to configure various things so as to control the way information is
provided to members.
6. Admin will be able to do member management.

1.4 Interface Utility

This utility will be responsible to upload member account information from present Cobol
based system to website database in offline mode. This utility will get text files as an input in
predefined format. It will parse those text files and will generate MySQL based database to be
uploaded to website’s hosting database. The account updation process has to be automatic.
This utility will be responsible to ensure coherency in the database with the present database
of the bank.

2 Associated Resources and Cost
There will be three resources required for this project as follows:

1. UI Designer
2. Web and Database Developer
3. Software Developer & Project Coordinator.

It is estimated that it will require two months to complete this project.

2.1 Total Cost

The total cost for this project is approx. INR 80K (inclusive of all taxes) keeping in view about
required resources, time frame and associated expenditures. This cost will include:

1. Branding based UI Design

2. Web Development
3. Database Design & Implementation
4. Maintenance for first six months after delivery
5. Training Manuals and Sessions
6. Unlimited Web Hosting for one year
7. Domain Registration for one year

2.2 Payment Terms

The payment will be done in following phases:

1. 25% of total cost as advance.

2. 25% after completion of CMS based website.
3. 25% after completion of Account Information Module
4. 25% after completion of Interface Utility and launch

2.3 Other Terms

1. MRD Media is ready to sign a contract, if required. Cost of contract will be on The Postal
& R.M.S. Employees Co-op. Bank Ltd.
2. MRD Media will be responsible to correct/fix any bug, which are discovered after delivery,
without any charge.
3. MRD Media will draft a Requirement Specification in consultation with Technical

 Resource of The Postal & R.M.S. Employees Co-op. Bank Ltd., which will serve as
reference doc for completion of the project.
4. MRD Media will be responsible to provide Technical/Help documentation along with
necessary training session(s) after the completion of project.
