000/2003 servers across multiple locations in a 24/7 trading environment. This
includes daily monitoring of these systems as a proactive measure to minimize pr
oblems and downtime.
Defines the standards for component level monitoring thresholds to ensure prope
r monitoring of the enterprise.
Operational management and configuration of all core technologies including pro
visioning storage, maintaining enterprise backup systems and making SAN zone cha
nges.
Proactively monitor and maintain servers using HP Systems Insight Manager (SIM)
. Troubleshoot all hardware issues that are reported by SIM. Perform upgrades an
d apply patches to SIM as necessary and use version control to deploy firmware a
nd driver upgrades to all HP servers.
Responsible for monitoring the BrightStor Arceserve Backup and IBM Total Storag
e reports.
Participate in corporate Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) initiatives and testing a
t DR recovery site.

* Member of data center move planning team. Gather server inventory information
, created visuals of data center cabinet elevations, coordinated with contractor

* Coordinated technology vendors and movers during weekend to identify risks, is

ape library. Additional use of Arcserve Brightstore Enterprise and disk based st
orage to decrease backup and restore times.
