To write an oral report, follow the steps below:

 Choose a topic that interests you. You can write about a favorite hobby or animal, an issue you feel
strongly about or a person you admire.

 Decide on the purpose of your oral report. What do you want your audience to remember?

 Find out who your audience is. An oral report that you prepare for an adult audience will be different from
an oral report that you prepare for classmates.

 Write down questions about the topic that pop into your mind. Chances are your audience will ask the
same questions.

 Research and collect facts and details about your topic.

 Organize your oral report! You want your oral report to be easy to understand and follow.

the conclusion must help the listeners to remember the main points of the report.

Preparing and using presentation aids. Presentation aids are any audio or visual tools you use to
supplement your message. For example in large room a micro phone can be a significant audio
tool for improving your presentation. And PowerPoint is also a tool for presenting orally the
presentation.

Manage vocal and verbal aspects. The quality of sound and clarity of the words.

Manage nonverbal aspects. Gestures, expressions etc.

Manage question answer session.

duties. A weekly production report is an example of routine report. Routine report does not
provide extensive search for necessary information. In many situations you will recall from
memory the principal data for the report. Although the data gathering procedure is very simple.

Special report;

1. Special report deals with the an occurrence that is an exception to your daily activities
and duties. Fro example you may be permitted to grant a customer a larger than normal
discount on an initial order. However it is not a normal sales procedure you would likely
write an exception report to notify your supervisor for your action.
