Mr. Anthony A. Edeh has 16 years experience in the occupational safety and envir
onmental health compliance administration. Anthony has developed and implemente
d project specific health and safety programs dealing in the areas of air, water
, hazardous waste, (CAA, SARA, EPCRA, RCRA, NPDES, USDOT). In addition he has de
veloped and managed programs in respiratory protection, confined space entry, fa
ll protection, lead and asbestos awareness, safe equipment operation, general in
dustry and construction safety issues: accident investigation, forklift operatio
n, workman compensation program management, OSHA 300Log, EPA, ISO 14000 environm
ental certification, DOT required record keeping and permit maintenance, right-t
o-know program for chemical and toxic hazards.
Other responsibilities in the industrial hygiene/environmental health and safety
field include construction project management, QA/QC programs, air sampling, si
te inspections and safety audit, risk assessment and management, indoor air qual
ity, mold, particulate dust hazard and community relations management.
Key Projects
JULY 2007 JUNE 2010:
K & K Iron works, Inc. is a premier Iron fabrication and Steel erecting Company
with many projects in Chicago and environs. Over two hundred and fifty million j
obs (approx) were completed under the supervision of Mr. Anthony. In the first y
ear of employment, K&K Iron works MOD dropped from 1.22 to 1.13 and below 1.00 i
n the following year. This was due to aggressive application of the principles o
f safe work practices, risk management and loss control.
Title: Safety Director:
Job Description: Developing and administering Environmental and occupational saf
ety programs for the fabrication shops and the field activities utilizing the re
quirements in 29CFR1910 and 1926 respectively. The job required lots of training
for both the shop and field employees in EPA and OSHA compliance [safe work pra
ctice, HAZCOM, MSDS, Fire Safety and Fire Extinguisher training, Fork Lift and o
ther industrial equipments, LOTO, Fall protection, etc.]. In addition to the sho
p and field employees, the drivers have to be trained to meet EPA, IEPA and USDO
T/IATA regulatory requirements.
Other duties include but were not limited to continuous site inspection and safe
ty audit, accident and incident investigation and accident cause evaluation repo
rt.

Employed by Safety Solutions, Inc. a compliance group to monitor Jobs completed
under Jervis B. Webb Company installing baggage delivery system at Midway Intern
ational Airport Expansion Project, Chicago, Illinois.
Title: Safety Coordinator
Job Description: Managing the site safety requirement aspect of the multi-millio
n dollar project with Chicago Airport Authority department of Aviation: Conducti
ng initial safety training for all employees prior to deployment inside airport
facilities or on the construction site. Conducted
daily tool box safety meeting, site audits, periodic safety training for OSHA is
sued 10 hours and 30 hours safety awareness certificates, initiated accident inv
estigation and developed accident cause evaluation report. Developed and impleme
nted the following programs: confined space procedures, forklift safe operation
procedure, fall protection, excavation protection, Cranes safety operation, Rigg
ing, scaffolding erection and usage, tag out and lock out program development an
d management in accordance with OSHA and City of Chicago Airport authority requi
rement.
Conducted weekly safety review meeting for JB Webb and all the sub contractors w
orking under them.

Environmental Design International Cook County Hospital building demolition, Ch
icago Housing Authority Capital Renovation Project, Chicago Public Schools, Capi
tal Improvement Plan, Managing Environmental Consultant (MEC), Chicago, IL.
Title: Environmental Health Project Manager: Chicago Housing Authority Trumbull
Park Homes, (July 2005 - August 2006), Chicago, Illinois.
EDI performed a limited asbestos survey of the Trumbull Park Home Complex, which
consisted of 56 buildings. The proposed areas of renovation consist of common
areas, resident homes, and powerhouses. The site contains four different buildi
ng styles: high-rise, low rise, town/row house, and powerhouse. The present sco
pe of work is limited to inspecting the interior and selected exterior surfaces
of suspect asbestos containing materials in the areas of proposed renovation. M
onitoring the renovations, collecting and analyzing clearance samples prior to r
esidents moving in. Also advising CHA on environmental hazard regulatory issues.

Title: Project manager; Cook County Hospital Building Demolition and Environment
al Abatement, Chicago, Illinois. This $20 million project consisted of the demol
ition and environmental abatement of two 8-story hospital buildings, a four-stor
y powerhouse, two electrical buildings and extensive tunnel system.
Job Description: Provided comprehensive assessment of existing conditions, devel
oped contract documents, cost estimates and bid documents, and provided bid eval
uation. Duties included a complete hazardous materials survey of each building,
including biological hazards, asbestos and lead concerns. Provided program mana
gement, project management, and construction administration for the handling of
the hazardous materials.
January 2000 March 2005 Common Wealth Edison Projects, Chicago, IL.
Title: Safety Coordinator for Pirelli Power Cables.
Job Description: Developed and managed construction safety programs: confined sp
ace, respiratory program, safe work plans, fall protection program, developed si
te specific job hazard analysis, forklift safe operation procedure, conducted da
ily site inspection and safety audit; accident investigations and wrote accident
evaluation report; safety meetings between the senior management and the field
staff, developed and managed reward programs for outstanding safe work performan
ce, developed and conducted initial safety orientation for all employees prior t
o deployment inside ComEd facilities. Participated in ComEd lock out tag out tra
in the trainer program. Conducted daily tool box safety meeting, conducted perio
dic safety training for OSHA issued 10 hours and 30 hours safety awareness certi
ficates and cards, developed and implemented the following fire safety programs;
fitness for duty programs, excavation hazard protection program, Rigging, scaff
olding construction and usage.
Completed OSHA 300 log for Pirelli and kept record of all safety required data.
