Duties to be performed - Relevant Experience
* Serve as an Evidence Custodian/Case File Manager working in a forensic laborat
ory at the Joint Expeditionary Facility (JEFF).
* Receive, catalogue, secure, and store collected evidence in a written logbook,
as well as digital format, identified by a unique numerical code.
* Maintain chain of custody documentation for all evidence and material submitte
d to the JEFF.
* Track all transfers and disposition of evidence from the JEFF.
* Conduct basic latent print forensic processing and examinations in support of
the Joint Prosecutorial Exploitation Center (JPEC) mission.
* Lift latent print off of various materials using common chemical and physical
processes, such as ninhydrin chemical analysis and cyanoacrylate fuming.
* Prepare detailed written reports.
* Testify as a Subject Matter Expert witness in court.
* Trainer of Afghanistan; Local Law Enforcement Professionals.
* CASE FILE MANAGER DUTIES- Relevant Experience
* Serve as Case File Manager of the Joint Expeditionary Forensic Facility (JEFF)
.
* Responsible for intake, distribution, security, processing and closing of case
files.
* Coordinate Forensic efforts through Lab capabilities in Theater and CONUS base
d laboratories.
* Work with other case File Managers within Theater to minimize processing times
for cases.
* Provides an outline of the capabilities of the JEFF 5 lab and a "lesson learne
d" overview regard to handling and packaging of evidence to individuals invited
to tour the facility.
