Plant Manager (Final Position)1990-1995 Birmingham,Al.

As Plant Manager with 6 direct reports, managed business planning, personnel, pr
oduction, shipping/receiving and sales. Developed annual sales, production proje
ctions and annual budgets. Implemented numerous improvements in product flow, wo
rk station design and ergonomic design in my factory; assisted customers in the
redesign of their facilities. Redesigned and implemented a revised warehouse lay
out for improved flow and space utilization.

Operations Manager 1987-1990 Social Circle,Ga.

Operations Manager, with 15 direct reporting department foremen/superintendents,
responsible for the overall management of a three shift manufacturing facility.
My responsibilities included development, implementation and management of pers
onnel, production planning, raw material control, production, safety, OSHA compl
iance and quality controls. I designed, developed and implemented a timed progra
m for our batch tempering oven that was implemented Corporate wide, resulting in
improved efficiencies, quality and reduced labor cost. Accomplished layout chan
ges of factory to improve flow of product and improved efficiencies that was als
o implemented in other locations throughout the company. Developed annual busine
ss plans and budgets and provided
monthly financial results to corporate management.
Manufacturing Manager 1982-1987 Social Circle,Ga.
Manufacturing Manager, with 17 Production, Quality and Material Management direc
t reports. Responsibilities included manufacturing planning, production manageme
nt and achieving efficiency improvement goals. Developed and managed the impleme
ntation of numerous machinery preventative maintenance programs, facility lay ou
t improvement, facility upgrade and expansion projects.
Maintenance Superintendent 1979-1982 Social Circle, Ga.
Responsible for 30+ machine technicians and general maintenance employees. Super
vised all repairs, upgrades and improvements to machinery. Assisted additional c
ompany locations with machine electrical control diagnosis and troubleshooting.
During this time I traveled extensively to other factory locations throughout th
e USA to assist in factory design and layout, machine installation, flow design
improvements and trained machine technicians.
