Go Around the World with Olympia’s Hotel Programme

Established for more than 15 years, Olympia College, Penang is among the well-renowned colleges in the
northern region. The college located at Northam Tower, has sea-view classrooms equipped with state-of-

Olympia College has designed its courses with the needs of employers and students in mind. The
curriculum encompasses the latest in management theories, IT know-how and industry norms. Students
who graduate from Olympia will be able to contribute their knowledge and skills immediately to their

All programmes offered at Olympia College, Penang have Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA)
approval and students are able to apply for PTPTN loans. For those who come from less fortunate homes,
scholarships of up to RM6,000 under the Pereira Trust Scholarships Scheme is also available. Qualifying
students must have a minimum of 5 credits. The programmes offered are Diplomas in Hotel Management,
Information Technology and Business Management.

The Diploma in Hotel Management Programme, a 2 ½ year Hotel programme, develops the student’s
interest, knowledge and understanding of the structure and scope of the hospitality industry.

It also provides graduates with the skills and capabilities to become successful lifelong learners, able to
deploy their learning skills in a wide variety of contexts within the tourism and hospitality industry.
Students need to have 3 SPM credits and a pass in English to enter this programme.

Students who complete the Diploma in Hotel Management will :

1) receive an additional Diploma from the Business and Hotel Management School (BHMS),
Switzerland*

2) get an additional internationally recognized Higher National Diploma award from Edexcel, UK*

3) This will pave a way to the final year Bachelor of Arts in Hotel and Hospitality Management at
the BHMS, Switzerland (6 months studying, 6 months working) or other universities in the UK,
USA or Australia*

Students will also gain international exposure and experience which will lead them to better opportunities
in the hospitality line.
