Logistics/Procurement Intern. Gained a broad base of "hands-on" logistics exper
ience in a short period of time with this international company specializing in
manufacturing prefabricated architectural brick/stone based out of Ireland.
* Initially started as an intern from May to August and was hired on contract ba
sed on exceeding expectations for performance to work as a remote employee from
Knoxville while completing degree.
* Held a dual-role working in logistics and procurement in the U.S. headquarters
location in Atlanta, GA.
* Assigned to a six-week project with accountability for organizing and analyzin
g spreadsheets to develop a comprehensive transportation carrier profile report
of 60 carriers that was used by the Vice President of Logistics to renegotiate a
nnual contract rate agreements.
* Worked on a special procurement project that required extensive data extracti
on using pivot tables from Excel, in-depth analysis of all expenses for prior ye
ar, and the creation and categorization of expenses in a comprehensive spreadshe
et that was used by the Vice President of Procurement during executive meetings
