PACE School - Pittsburgh, PA
Pace School is a placement option for school districts in
Allegheny and surrounding counties and serves students,
grades K - 9, with emotional challenges or autism. As a
private, nonprofit day school, Pace serves hard-to-teach,
hard-to-reach children and adolescents.
Milieu Therapist- September 1996 to Present
=> Provide constant support, guiding and reinforcing the
student's ability to learn life tools, such as problem
solving and coping skills, offering a safe place for these
skills to be practiced and integrated into the student's
repertoire of strategies.
=> Develop and implement treatment plans in which every day
events and interactions are therapeutically designed for
the purpose of enhancing student's social skills and
building confidence through in-class support techniques.
