SOME HIGHLIGHTS
* Implemented a robust 24x7 customer website in 8 months reducing the toll-free
call center over 20,000 monthly orders from 100% to 20% and saving $3 an order.
* Directed a new "Customer Retention" effort beginning fall 2003. Meetings with
key internal and external resources resulted in changes in customer policy, IT
applications, and key marketing strategies. United States net customer growth in
creased from 25% in 2002-2003, to well over 300% in 2004-2005.
* Hired nearly everyone in the IT departments for FreeLife and Melaleuca while I
was there. Conducted collaborative meetings periodically with direct reports a
nd IT staff, with a focus on developing a culture of repeatable quality. These
meetings produced streamlined methodologies, team unification, key performance m
easures and continual improvement in quality results. Full-time employee turnov
er rate averaged less than 5% per year.
* Total IT costs less than 2% of revenue while achieving systems availability fo
r customers of better than 99.91% world wide at the end of an aggressive rollout
of 15 new countries in 2004 and 2005.
* Successfully designed, programmed and implemented a very wide variety of compl
ex bonuses found in the Direct Selling industry. This included test plans and tr

hanges occurred every two months on average and ranged from simple to complex.
Commission checks were never late in 15 years.
* Redesigned the credit card processing application in 1997 to handle peak days
of more than 70,000 orders in one day and involving 260 simultaneous order taker
s. Average authorization less than 3 seconds reduced from more than 25 seconds
on peak days.
* Coordinated a successful move of the call center, accounting and marketing to
a new computer and operating system over a two day weekend with our own staff. A
ll 400 plus stations were live Monday morning.
