RTR Mechanical & Welding, LLC: 2006- Present
Formed company and obtained MBE, SBE and DBE certification in NJ as well as PA a
nd Philadelphia.
Handle daily operations consisting of estimating, pricing equipment, seeking sub
- contractor quotes and submitting bids.
Design mechanical systems with engineer approval.
Responsible for providing submittals and insurance documentation.
Track job costing including labor and material spending.

Provided x-ray quality welding services and pipe fabrication for VA Hospital's i

Project Manager / Construction Administrator: 2003 - 2006
Planned and coordinated specified work with construction managers, sub-contracto
rs and customers.
Developed work packages with engineers, facilities managers and operations perso
nnel, while designing multiple complex mechanical systems.
Assisted in assembling bid packages with estimates ranging from three to seven m
illion dollars.
Responsible for appointing general foreman, foreman including the scheduling of
manpower.
Coordinated daily work tasks with sub-contractors and facilities managers.
Handled production of field drawings used to shop fabricate for installation and
system validation.
Monitored work progress while maintaining material needs.
Performed these duties for Riggs Distler, and Summit Project Management Services
at Sun Refinery, Rohm & Haas and various facilities.
General Foreman / Foreman: 1999-2003
Implemented the proper directives regarding layout, coordination, and installati
on of mechanical piping systems and related equipment to engineering specificati
ons.
Interpreted, and drafted isometric drawings from project blue prints and field v
erification.
Determined which task each journeyman will undertake based on his or her strong
points.
Documented, filed all material and equipment purchase orders; tracked labor and
change order hours to companies standards.
Attended general contractor job meetings to review progression of project while
preparing to be part of the solution.
Employed with Collins & Collins, JJ White, Fluor Corp. and Costa & Rihl for thi
s duration.
Steamfitter Journeyman: 1993-1999
Welded, fabricated and installed piping systems including related components to
engineering specifications.
Welded various types of pipe from carbon to stainless steel with GTAW or SMAW pr
ocess to x-ray quality.
Installed numerous mechanical systems using copper to poly-propylene pipe in env
ironments such as Merck Pharmaceuticals, University of Pa., Temple University an
d Exelon Co..
Inspected and maintained weld maps with positive material identification ( PMI )
instrument; because of my certified welding inspector ( CWI )certification.
Worked with instrumentation tubing; installing various controlling devices on pr
ojects such as Florida Power and Light and Limerick Nuclear Generation Plant.

Apprenticeship: 1987- 1993


Served a five year apprenticeship with Local Union 420 involving physics, trigon
ometry, oblique trigonometry, drafting, mechanical engineering principles and re
lated science applications.
Learned the importance of listening and applying what was taught to me from expe
rienced steamfitter journeyman.
