EXPERIENCE:
Director of Operations: (Jan 2010-Present): Manage all operations for start-up
company drilling methane gas wells with full P&L responsibility. Lead all aspect
s of company operations during initial year of operations: field service operati
ons, employee selection and training, equipment acquisition and maintenance, bus
iness development and marketing, contracting and purchasing.
Fielding Coordinator: (OCT 2008-DEC 2009): L-3 Communications/U.S Army Program e
xecutive Office, Enterprise Information Systems (PEO EIS-GS15). Senior consultan
t to Army logistics program managers for information system fielding and sustain
ment, Left-Behind Equipment (LBE) and sustainment operations. Advised program ma
nagers on system fielding and sustainment processes, Army Force Generation (ARFO
RGEN) operations and global information systems fielding and sustainment. Coordi
nated system fielding for Iraq and Afghanistan with Army Sustainment Command.
Program Manager, End-2-End Logistics Systems (2008): General Dynamics C4 Systems
. Managed Transportation Visibility (TRANSVIZ), Integrated Data Environment/Glob
al Transportation Network Convergence (IGC) and Joint Service Workstation (JSWS)
programs. Developed business development plans focused on Army Automated Logist
ics Information Systems.
General Manager, Matrix Group International, Inc. (2007-2008): Interim General M
anager for a start-up fiber-optic construction company. Full P&L responsibility
while building the organization from the ground up. Built and led the initial or
ganization, put the company in a position of solid liquidity, implemented intern
al metrics, controls and policies and trained and hired the full-time general ma
nager.
Program Manager /Vice President Programs/Chief Operating Officer (2001-2007): Co
mtech Mobile Datacom Corporation. Responsible for P&L, business development, and
daily operations for a high technology aerospace business developing, installin
g and maintaining satellite communications systems for U.S. Army logistics units
in Kuwait, Afghanistan and Iraq; very familiar with program management in this
AOR. Managed program business operations, including responsibility for an eight-
year, $418 million U.S. government contract. Led the proposal development team,
contract negotiations and the successful re-compete of that contract, producing
a four-year, $620 million contract win. Managed over 120 employees and 100 indep
endent contractors in program operations with operations in multiple states and
three countries. In five years, increased organic business revenues from $13.5 t
o $180 million; reduced non-recurring and recurring costs, and increased net inc
ome from zero to $13.5 million.
Principal Consultant (2000-2001): MoorLog Consulting Incorporated. Independent
consultant on U.S. Army logistics information systems integration and program ma
nagement, information systems design and integration, business process engineeri
ng and Army business process development programs.
Project Manager (1999-2000): AT&T Government Systems, GRCI, Inc. Project manager
for Logistics Modernization Program; a program to reengineer Army logistics bus
iness processes and software. Negotiated and managed subcontracts; grew program
from zero to nineteen employees providing $4.4 M in annual revenue within six mo
nths.
Support Systems Program Manager (1998-1999): Phantom Works, The Boeing Company.
Integrated information systems design and architectures for classified, advanced
technology programs to ensure compliance with government standards. Led a geogr
aphically diverse integrated product team integrating future information systems
architectures in support of new USAF and USN systems.
U.S. Army (1977-1998): Positions of increasing responsibility as an officer in t
he U.S. Army, retiring as Lieutenant Colonel in 1998. Division G-4 and forward S
upport Battalion Commander in 1st Cavalry Division. Coordinated global supply, m
aintenance, transportation, food service, facilities engineering and sustainment
operations.
