The door at the back of the Scotia Room cafeteria (near the
ATM) will be open for the market and your convenience when
coming from inside.

1. A & E Evans – Albert is back here this week and he is bringing


transplants! He will have Vegetable Transplants (4s) for $1.75, $2, and
$2.25 and will also be bringing Marigold plants (6s) for $1.75/pack. He
will be just below the Terrace.
2. BBQ- Yes, the popular BBQ with their Mushroom Burgers on a Fresh
Multi Grain bun is back! Look for them at the new location next to
Evan’s Seafood’s truck at the top.
3. Big Monkey Kettle Corn – They will now be at the Farmers’ Market
and at the Halifax Infirmary Summer Street lobby on Fridays from 9 to
2. “It’s a little bit Sweet & a little bit Salty,” and it’s “Gluten Free,
Dairy Free & Nut Free” too! Are you a member of the Big Monkey
Loyalty Program? Buy 10 bags of popcorn, get 1 free!
4. Blossom Shops – This week Penny will have her last box of Tulips at
$8 per bunch or 2 bunches for $15. She will also have purple Mums
and purple Daisies for $4 per bunch.
5. Blue Barn Farm – They have Whole, Frozen Free Range Chickens
(3/7lb. average) at $4/lb. They have Lean Ground, Grass Fed Beef at
$4.25/lb. bags. It comes frozen for food safety reasons.
6. Bohemian Bubbles – Terri has hand-made spa soaps made with
fresh goat’s milk, vegetable oils and luxuriant oils of palm, coconut,
and olive. They are boxed in recycled packaging. Terri will be here
June 3rd and then every two weeks after that.
7. Boulangerie la Vendeénne – Certified Organic French Bakery with
20 different breads & a variety of viennoiserie, baguettes, sourdough,
etc.
8. Elmridge Farms – Will be here in a couple of weeks with fresh
garden produce. Stay tuned!
9. Evan’s Seafood – FRESH from Evan’s boat, Cod, Haddock, Hake,
Halibut, Red Fish, and Trout. As well his regular frozen products
including their delicious fish cakes. Stock up for summer weekend
BBQs!
10. Jordan’s Natural Acres – New to the Market this year. A variety
of meat/poultry cuts and EGGS. You can get Certified Free Range
Chicken breasts (bone in or boneless), thighs, wings, quarters, legs,
and ground chicken (chicken not available yet). They do have BEEF
available! Ground beef or stew meat. Steaks: rib eye, round, T-bone,
sirloin, tenderloin, and strip loin. Roasts: sirloin, blade, cross rib, and
rump. Jordan’s can also accommodate special requests (liver,
ox tail, tongue & heart), stop by and ask! Visit their website for

11. Korinthia Extra Virgin Olive Oil - It’s golden-green in colour,
smooth in taste with a balanced aroma. “Korinthia stands out for its
exceptional flavour, rich taste, low acidity, and exceptional quality.”
Available at Pat’s Preserves! Korinthia Extra Virgin Olive Oil is used at many
popular restaurants such as Opa!, It’s All Greek to Me, the Greek Village, and the
Economy Shoe Shop! $12 for a 750ml bottle and $30 for a 3 litre can.

12. Laughing Whale Fresh Roasted Coffee – Fresh coffee ready to


drink! Visit Laughing Whale for your morning pick-me-up. Bags of
coffee beans also available for purchase. You may order ahead by

13. Maritime Pasty Co. – They’re back! Leah will be back for the
summer market with her delicious Cornish Pasties and their popular
Nellie’s Ginger Wine! Stop by for a sample of her ginger wine and
have a pasty; the perfect lunch idea!
14. Noggins Corner Farm – Ian is back and will be bringing fresh
rhubarb and a supply of other fresh vegetables!
15. Pat’s Preserves – Pat has fudge this week. His Sugar Free
Blueberry Jam is ready! Pat is a honey of a guy but he sells some
also. “Time for BBQ so get your marinades and meat rubs for the
season and don't forget Pats rib sauce” Did you know that Pat’s Fig &
Grand Marnier Jam, his 3 Fruit Marmalade & his Sweet & Tangy Pepper Jelly are
now being served at Obladee Wine Bar on Barrington Street? Pat’s products are
now also available next to the Halifax Ferry Terminal at Murphy’s Cable Wharf.
Check out the mini jars of Pat’s products, they make great wedding favours,
corporate gifts, gift baskets, etc. Pat has wedding favours with

16. Ratinaud - Frederic is back again with his score of French Cuisine
products. He will be bringing pâtés, rillettes, and quiches!
17. Schoolhouse Gluten-Free Gourmet –
Congratulations Jen & Aidan, winners of The Coast’s “Best of Halifax”
contest for “Best Stall at the Halifax Seaport Farmers’ Market
(Prepared Foods)! Jen will be bringing all of your favourites; 6pk
biscuits: $6, Pie Shells: $6.50, Focaccia Rounds with caramelized
onions, roasted garlic, sun dried tomatoes & fresh parsley: $3.75 and
