PROFILE
Managing all contractual aspects of service contracts for the fabrication and in
stallation of onshore and offshore facilities and structures. Implementing proje
ct controls and monitoring the execution of the works. Performing site visits an
d audits to confirm delivery schedules. Proactively coordinating and interfacing
with the engineering and project management disciplines. Ensuring compliance an
d observance with agreed terms and conditions in the contract and/or subcontract
s. Reviewing and assisting in the preparation of scopes of work for the tenderin
g, subcontracting and award phase of the projects. Carrying out the tendering ph
ase of subcontracted scopes of work including bid analysis and contract award. N
egotiating terms and conditions of the contract with main contractors/subcontrac
tors to optimize project deliverables. Assisting PMT in the review of language i
n the technical documents to ensure contractual clarity, avoidance of conflict,
minimize need for changes. Coordinating with group disciplines involving tax, le
gal, insurance, HSE and commercial matters to ensure the level of project suppor
t is adequate, timely and commensurate with the magnitude of the undertaking and
project requirements. Administering contracts/subcontracts and expediting the p
rocessing of change orders in accordance with company norms. Handling claims inc
luding investigation of events leading to claim situations and negotiating settl
ements as may be appropriate. Managing disputes with vendors, subcontractors, ma
in contractor, government entities; utilizing established contract procedures fo
r resolution. Advising management/PMT on high risk areas to alert on potential c
laims arising from the work, implementing controls for the early detection of ch
anges and contract deviations. Reviewing and auditing contracts. Evaluating cla
ims, reviewing events leading to claim, defending claims, addressing resolution,
negotiating settlement as required. Supporting PMT in the expediting, negotiati
ng and processing of change orders. Providing response to questions on complex i
ssues regarding contractual matters.
