Prayer Guide

You can pray silently or softly aloud . Try not to start

conversations that could distract your group. Instead,
write down your thoughts to share at the end of the
walk. Acknowledge people you pass. This community is
very friendly.
1. Pray for yourself. (Psalm 139:23-24)
• Make sure you are right with God .
• Ask God to speak to you during this time.
• Seek to understand what God wants to teach you.
• How can you be a more intentional missionary?
• That you'd see this community and these people
through Jesus's eyes.
2. Pray for the people. (Matthew 13:15)
• There are over 17,500 residents in this small
community, yet it is one of the least "churched"
local areas.
• This community is culturally diverse, which offers
unique opportunities, but also creates challenges .
• Those who have rejected the Gospel.
3. Pray for the church. (Romans 12:1-2)
• For the 9 other English Protestant churches, of
which only a few are considered conservative
congregations.
• For perseverance of the few conservative
churches, despite cultural pressures to change .
• For revival of people's hearts and the families of
these churches.
4. Pray for Jacksonville City Church. (Matthew 9:35-38)
• For wisdom in the many decisions and
opportunities to consider over the summer.
• The great need for believers to join us in reaching
this community.
5. Pray for Michael & Rachel. (Philippians 1:3-5)
• That we would recognize God -ordained
opportunities.
• As we continue to meet with and learn
pastors and churches.
• That we would be continually encou
supported .
