approved by the Department of Homeland Security.

y. Non compliance was running at 10-20% of total transactions. Developed repor
ts which were sent to senior management by function, set up training sessions on

0% reduction in non compliant purchases which was sustained. This helped the Pu
rchasing department exceed its savings targets by almost 100%.

* Faced with a steady decline in unit prices on the revenue side, led a team whi
ch broke down capital unit cost by product and equipment type. Using this, succ
essfully negotiated lower capital unit costs which helped maintain margins in sp
ite of the unit price decline.
* Took responsibility for the physical to perpetual inventory reconciliation, wh
ich had error rates as high as 50%. Formed a team and developed a mechanized pr
ocess which resulted in reduction in error rates down to less than 5%.
* Designed and implemented Evaluated Receipts Settlement process which significa
ntly reduced the volume of invoices handled by the Accounts Payable department.
* Developed procurement policies and procedures; lead negotiator for contracts w
ith strategic suppliers; developed mechanized MRP process resulting in a signifi
cant reduction in inventory on hand.
