As part of the University Tennessee's Nonwovens Research Laboratory team, I was
heavily involved in the research, analysis and documentation of meltblowing tec
hnologies using a wide array of polymers and additives. Specifically, I perform
ed an assortment of ASTM standard tests using a variety of analytical lab testin
g equipment; was trained to collaborate in polymer extrusion operations, as well
as equipment maintenance under various running conditions; and experienced the
processing of materials at both the micron and nano scales. In addition, as par
t of the UTNRL team, I interacted with leading engineers from a wide array of co
mpanies with diverse product technologies and participated in the development of
new cutting edge nonwoven technologies.
