MALAYSIA.

Dear respondents,

Thank you in advance for participating in our research. Before proceeding, the definition and
the objectives below will be helpful for you to understand what these questionnaires are
about.

Definition of Safety Management System:-

Safety Management System (SMS) is a term used to refer to a comprehensive business


management system designed to manage occupational safety and health elements in the
workplace.

Objectives of research:-

1. To identify any weaknesses on the implementation of safety management system at flying


school. The commitment of the management is important in the effectiveness of Safety
Management System. The commitment of the management will ensure continuous safety
improvement. A good management must also willing to make safety is their highest
priority. They must be able to provide the necessary safety resources in ensure safety is at
highest level.

2. To identify the alertness of safety management system among employers, student,


community in flying school. The employees must have the encouragement to report
safety issues without fear of reprisal. The employees must know their responsibilities and
their rights. They must know effective decision on implementing SMS outputs and inputs
to any situation.
