This price list
This document provides the price details of the products and ancillary services we offer to customers
licensing Ordnance Survey data directly from us. The size and type of data supply unit differs by product.
The specific options available are shown under the details for each product.
There are examples throughout this list as a guide to our pricing and how it works.
All prices are subject to Value Added Tax (VAT) at the prevailing rate at the time of supply
Please see the ‘Other Products’ section on pages 19 and 20 for brief details of other products we license or
that we make available on behalf of or with third party suppliers.
Principles
Pricing in this document is for a one year licence, unless otherwise stated. Customers can choose to license
Ordnance Survey data under contracts that last one, two or three years, unless otherwise stated.
Ordnance Survey prices includes a licence to use the data, the initial supply of data and the supply of any
updates (if available) for the period of licence. The price is dependent on the number of terminals (as defined
in our contracts) on which customers wish to use the data. The relevant number of terminals, for the purpose
of calculating the licence fee, is the total number of terminals on which data is going to be used for the
duration of your licence, including those used by your contractors.
Pricing may be subject to discounts. What these discounts are and when they apply is explained in the
sections below. Quotations provided by Ordnance Survey will include discounts relevant to a customer’s
particular order.
Terminal discounts
Unless otherwise stated, there are standard discounts across all Ordnance Survey products if you license
them for use on less than 101 terminals and for more than 8% of Great Britain by value. These discounts are
modified for contracts that have a value less than 8% of the Great Britain price as illustrated in the table
below.
For convenience and ease of use of this document, we have applied these discounts to the price illustrations
shown on later pages. This means that where a price is listed against a terminal band then the discount has
already been applied.

Multi-year discounts
For OS MasterMap® products only, a further discount is also available where customers choose a two or
three year contract. These are:
Two-year contract 4% per year (calculated by applying a factor of 1.92 to the annual price)
Three-year contract 8% per year (calculated by applying a factor of 2.76 to the annual price)
Tile pricing
The following products are available to be supplied as tiles: OS VectorMap Local; 1:10 000 Scale Raster;
1:25 000 Scale Colour Raster; 1:50 000 Scale Colour Raster; and Land-Form PROFILE.
The licence fee applicable to areas of these products other than Great Britain (or country if a price is defined)
can be calculated using the tables entitled ‘Tile Pricing’ under the relevant product information. You can do
this by reading the number of tiles you wish to order, against the number of terminals that you wish to use
the data on, which will provide you with a single tile price. You then multiply the number of tiles you wish to
order by that single tile price.
For example: initial order of 1:10 000 Scale Raster of 50 tiles for five users = 50 x £8.80 = £440
Tiles you have previously ordered are taken into account when calculating the price of the second and any
subsequent order you may place under any single contract you have.
Building on the example above: A subsequent order of 60 tiles = 50 tiles + 60 tiles = 110 tiles. Therefore an
annual fee for 60 tiles is charged at 105 to 209 tile band = 60 x £5.86 = £351.60
If you have multiple contracts, each one is treated separately for the purposes of price calculation.
For example, if the subsequent order of 60 tiles is placed as a separate contract, it would be charged at the
53 to 104 tile band = 60 x £7.33 = £439.80 for an annual contract.

OS MasterMap® data pricing
For most OS MasterMap products it is possible to select a predefined area of interest or to define your own
individual area of interest. The price is determined by the area selected, the number of terminals required,
any minimum charges as appropriate and the contract duration.
Examples of how pricing is calculated for all OS MasterMap layers and themes are provided at annexe A.
£4 500 000 is the OS MasterMap Topography Layer price for a one year contract, covering Great Britain, for
use on 101 or more terminals.
The discount table on page 3 applies if your contract is for use on less than 101 terminals.
* Prices apply where an order contains a single geography type. Where an order contains mixed geography
types, then the first km2 price is calculated from the hectare prices listed using the highest value geography
type first.
Discounts are available for larger areas. Please contact your account manager or our Customer Service
Centre for details.

Land-Form PROFILE Plus
Licensed by 5 km x 5 km tiles only
This product is supplied as a combination of base accuracy data (derived from Land-Form PROFILE®) and
