Techno Electric & Engineering Company has acquired land for three bio-mass based projects of 10 MW each at Dinajpur and Birbhum in West Bengal and Phulkhedi near Bhopal in MP. The company is in discussion with the Vidhan Chandra Krishi Viswa Vidyalay in West Bengal to identify a plantation for the Dinajpur project to get continous supply of rice husk, the feedstock for the project. Steel Authority of India (SAIL) is planning to expand its hot metal capacity to 23.46 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) from 13.8 mtpa at present. In this regard, the company will invest Rs 70,000 crore in the next three years. The investment comprises modernization and expansion of iron ore mining capacity.

IL&FS Transportation Networks to develop highway project in Jharkhand

Jharkhand Road Project Implementation Company, a subsidiary of IL&FS Transportation Networks is set to take up improvement works of ChaibasaKandra-Chowka Road in the State of Jharkhand. The company today signed the concession agreement with state government of Jharkhand in this regard. The project involves improvement works of Chaibasa - Kandra - Chowka Road in the State of Jharkhand for 68.7 km to be developed in two lanes with paved shoulder on Built Operate Transfer basis. Sahithi Drugs & Intermediates is planning to set up a unit to manufacture of bulk drugs and Intermediates of total capacity 18.5 MT/month and solvent recovery by distillation 15 KLD for commercial use at KIADB Industrial Area, Humnabad. The company proposes to manufacture products like Aceclofenac, Atorvastatin calcium, Clopidogrel bisulphate, Escitalopram oxalate etc. The project is estimated to cost Rs.48.65 million. As of June 2011, the company is awaiting environment clearance from state pollution control authorities.

Kshatriya Laboratories to set up bulk drugs unit in Karnataka.

Sector : Pharmaceuticals | Subsector : Bulk Drugs | Status : Awaiting Environment Clearance. Kshatriya Laboratories is planning to set up a bulk drugs and Intermediates manufacturing unit with a capacity of 10.8 MT/month at KIADB, Humnabad in Bidar district of Karnataka. The project is estimated to cost Rs.49.15 million. The company is planning to manufacture drugs like Rosuvastatin , Efavirenz , Eletriptan , Prasugrel etc., As of June 2011, the company is awaiting environment clearance from state pollution control authorities. GAIL to set up 250 MW Power Plant at Uran, Maharashtra.

GAIL ( India) has decided to set up a 250 MW gas based power plant at Uran in MAharshtra. Though the project was mooted an year ago, the project has just now received the approval from company board. The project is estimated to cost Rs.8000 million. As of June 2011, the company is in the process of signing a power purchase agreement with the state power department and is also discussing with PTC India to facilitate power trading. Chhattisgarh Energy Consortium India, today awarded a contract to Ramky Infrastructure for construction of concrete weir, spillway and appurtenant works other infrastructural and hydro mechanical works for Mander-I and Mander-II of small hydro electric project. The contract is valued at Rs.2322 million.

Atlanta-ARSS bags construction contract from MPRDCL

Atlanta-ARSS has has received an order from Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation for execution of widening and re-construction of Manawar-Mangod (Bandheri) Road & Sardarpur-Rajgarh-Bagh Road: Package No.4 under MPSRP-III . The contract is valued at Rs.1177 million.
