The Carbon supports mechanical strength, infinite heat and fatigue resistance and shock-dampening. The Ceramic provides an incompressible heat resistant surface that maintains drag consistency. By combining these elements in the correct sequence with self-lubricating Rulon, you end up with a perfect brake system! In addition to a world-class drag, the Vexsis series is loaded with modern reel technology, including the first ever Magnalock magnetic spool release system that powerfully pulls the spool onto the frame and securely locks the system. The drag knob incorporates a revolutionary multi-ball thrust bearing drag for an almost perfectly linear drag response, resulting in a constant, smooth feel through multiple knob rotations. Regardless of how much drag has been applied to the Vexsis system, the drag knob rotation is effortless. Great design is in the details, and this is the exact philosophy we took when developing our new series of RossTec rod and reel cases. While most rod cases look fairly similar side-by-side, it is the quality of materials and the care in construction that really matters! This determines just how well your gear will be protected when traveling or in storage. Our focus on detail puts the RossTec cases in a class of their own! Each case is constructed with industrial grade tubing that is lined with a smooth, abrasion-resistant nylon liner. It is then wrapped in 1000 denier Cordura that is treated with our proprietary RossTec coating; providing increased water repellency and abrasion resistance. High-density foam is added throughout the case to further ensure the safety of your gear. Custom molded end caps are secured to the case bottom and reel pouch to provide an additional level of protection. Each case is fitted with an adjustable shoulder strap, and a custom molded non-slip shoulder pad to comfortably hold it in place. The zippers are also custom molded from a similar non-slip rubber material to guarantee easy access to you gear, even when your hands are wet. The concept of Perfect Balance has long been debated in the world of fly fishing. Spend just one day in a fly shop and you will inevitably see somebody trying to balance a fly rod and reel on the top of their finger in an effort to determine the correct match between rod and reel. Most would agree that hanging a reel below and slightly forward of your casting hand will move the center of gravity away from the reel seat, thereby improving the balance between the rod and reel. However, balance is a subjective term and Ross has ingeniously solved this problem with the introduction of the first reel arm; allowing an angler to adjust the forward position of a fly reel on a rod. The beauty of the Balance adjustable arm is that it can be used with any fly reel. Attachment is no different than locking your reel into a rod seat.
