TRADE EXECUTION is an activity managed my the Front Office business teams. Trader executes transactions as an Agent or Broker on an Exchange or Over the Counter. The sales team acts as an intermediary between the client and the market and charge a commission or spread on the transaction The trader executes transactions (buy/sell) in the market, manage the book positions (long, short, square), cover risks etc. Trade execution or order placement has nowadays been automated, thus leading to a greater opportunity to increase the volume of trades. Front office and sales teams are responsible for creating a win-win situation, enhancing the speed of trade execution, competitiveness of prices or commission, access to markets and supporting queries from operations. TRADE CAPTURE (What data is required to process a transaction ?)
Trader Transaction Specific data : relating to products and their strategies traded, counter party information, buy/sell direction, quantity, strike price, currency. Static Data in Central Data Repositories: Client Information, Instrument Information, Global Calendars and Holidays, Cross references, ISIN etc
