(Saint Augustine Church, Barberton, OH) (June 12, 2011) (Insert Graphic 2127-0010.tif) We want to be perfect, but we arent.

We are all wounded. What annoys us in another is often something that we dislike in ourselves. In our families, lets take a tip from todays gospel and admit our imperfections. Then we will experience the peace that Jesus promises in todays reading. (Insert graphic 1106-0086) 367 Holy Hours were kept before the Blessed Sacrament this past week. We are in need of extra help in covering vacations for the next couple of months. Many of the hours only have one committed adorer, so there is no one to help cover their hour. Please call Judy at 330-212-0926 if you are able to assist. "Could you not watch one hour with me?" Matthew 26:40 (Insert Graphic 2303-0426.tif) Today following the 9:00 and 11:00 Masses, we would like to welcome Fr. William Smith to our parish. "Speak Lord, your servant is listening" 1 Samuel 3:9

On January 19, 2010, I was beginning a new assignment for my life as a Parochial Vicar in Barberton, Ohio at Saint Augustine Parish. God blessed me with this assignment and I was grateful. I arrived and dove right into life as your Parochial Vicar. I love being a priest. I had fun in this new territory, having never been in Summit County. I know I was well received by you. Thank you for this. You are so good. Having already been a Pastor for thirteen years this assignment was "different". I no longer had the many weighty responsibilities that come with the office of Pastor. Again, God blessed me with this assignment. It was great! God rewarded me and guided me each day as I served you. But, along the way and in the beginning of this New Year, 2011, I began to hear God's voice lovingly and gently speaking that I may be needed as a Pastor, somewhere, and that I needed to make known to our Bishop that I was willing to serve as a Pastor. And so I did. As Lent was beginning in the month of March and after my annual retreat I began the confidential process of applying for parishes with schools. On May 4, 2011 I received a new assignment as a Pastor for Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. The assignment begins on Thursday, June 30th, 2011. Many of you know this area and this parish in Cuyahoga Falls. It is a small world. Please join me in my gratitude to God for His way in my life; leading me along, guiding me and speaking. You must know that I am a better priest today because of you and my time with you. You have made a big difference in my life for I experienced your love for the church, for our catholic religion, for God, and for the Mass. This I will always appreciate and have in my mind, heart, and soul forever. Many blessings to you all, Fr. Jim Singler

Jim for all he has done, envelopes will be provided in the pews, please jot down a favorite memory, gardening tip, or possibly a family recipe that Fr. can take with him to remember you by.
