Dear Colleagues,

Hi Friends, In my last Foresteps we had initiated the discussion on Appraisal Format that was used in 2010 and will be used in 2011 also. We discussed on Reporting and I am happy to say that many of you have responded positively by sending the reports on time. The point I will discuss in this Foresteps is KPI For a pharma company our customers are the doctors, chemists and stockists. So it is obvious that we have to meet these important people without fail. Today we are getting the business from limited number of doctors and that is the reason we are not able to increase the sales base. You have done a beginning and we have to grow on this base. To increase the base you have to develop more number of doctors and for that you have to meet more number of doctors, chemist and stockist. Accordingly the weightage given in your appraisal is 20%. As is the case with Reporting, meeting the doctors, chemist, and stockist is in your hands. You have to plan your days work, such that you meet all the doctors, chemist and stockists. You do not have to depend on any one for this except yourself. Doctors are the core to your business. Plan the visit schedules to your doctors based on the day and visit timing of the doctors. Some doctors you have to take prior appointments in the morning so that you can meet them later in the day. Ensure that these activities are completed and you meet on an average 11 doctors per day Meeting chemists helps you to ensure that you have the information regarding what the doctor is prescribing (RCPA), are the products available with the chemists (POB). Meeting the doctors without the support of the chemist will be waste of energy if the product is not available at the chemist and the prescription bounces. All ESI are supposed to maintain a RCPA note book, which can help you develop your relation with the chemist and also register all the records. You are supposed to meet 5 chemists daily Visiting stockist daily can help in developing your relation with them. This relation can be utilized to find what products are selling and where. What is the stock position and get fresh orders so as to avoid stock out situation. Even if you have limited stockist meet them regularly. On an average you have to meet at least 1 stockist a day before you go home Last month point was You have to ensure that the reports are entered every Wednesday and Saturday. Those who have started reporting on regular basis continue the good work and the others change your reporting style. This month let us develop our KPI Regards, Joseph Emmatty

All About Personal Loan

Personal loans are provided by various banks and non banking financial companies (NBFCs). There are various factors which affect your personal loan eligibility. Below mentioned are some of the few factors which the bank or the NBFC will consider while they decide on your personal loan eligibility.

Background: 1. Financial Background:

This is the most important parameter that determines if you are eligible for a personal loan and also the quantum of personal loan you are eligible for. It will help the bank understand how well you can pay back your loan. Every bank will have a minimum level of income to be eligible for a personal loan.

2. Credit History:
This will help the bank ascertain your track record for payment of EMI of any loan or the payment of the credit card bills. In case you have paid all your previous EMIs and credit card bills on time, chances of your getting the loan is higher.

3. Company in which you are employed:

Personal loan eligibility may depend upon the company you are working for. In case your company is a Public Ltd. or among the A class companies, which the banks call them as, the chances of you getting a loan becomes very easy. If you are working for a B class company, then getting a personal loan may be difficult for you or it may be costlier also compared to a person who is working in an A class company which means that if you are working for a company which belongs to the A class according to the bank, then the personal loan rate would be comparatively lower to a person who belongs to a B class company. In case you are having any other loan at the given point of time, then your eligibility for personal loan may go down as you are already paying towards EMI of the previous loan and the income in your hand would be lower compared to a case where you are not paying any EMI. personal Is it easy to get a personal loan? Well, yes and no. On the one hand, there is less paperwork, since the bank does not have to verify any asset as in the case of home loans. On the other hand, there are stringent income criteria to qualify for personal loans. But once you make the grade it takes only about three days for you to get a personal loan less time than a home or car loan. step-bybreakSo, here goes a step-by-step break-up of the personal loan application process:

Step 1: Enquiry with a financier

The first step is to get in touch with a lender. How do you know whom you should approach? You need to get in touch with as many lenders as possible and get them to make loan offers to you. Then negotiate with them to get the best interest rate. Check if there are any special offers. After you have got all the banks to make their offers to you, select your lender based on the information you have in front of you.

Step 2: Documents Collection

After you finalize your lender, the lender's direct selling agent will visit you and collect documents supporting proof of income, residence proof, and identity. You may be required to produce copies of IT returns, salary slips, bank statements, ration card, passport, driving license, and other relevant documents. These requirements vary from lender to lender.

Step 3: Field Investigation Agency Representative Visit

After submitting the documents, a field investigator will visit your home to double check the facts provided in the documents, such as your place of residence, tenure at work place and so on. It is essential that you are present during this visit; otherwise the investigator could report that the facts you provided do not actually add up, thus forcing the lender to reject your loan application.

Step 4: Loan approved

Once the lender is satisfied with the reality of your documents, the loan is approved. The lender then disburses the amount through cheques or demand drafts (DD).

For Your Health .

Very interesting health information . Slice a mushroom in half and it resembles the shape of the human ear. And guess what? Adding it to your cooking could actually improve your hearing. That's because mushrooms are one of the few foods in our diet that contain vitamin D. This particular vitamin is important for healthy bones, even the tiny ones in the ear that transmit sound to the brain.

Cheer yourself up and put a smile on your face by eating a banana. The popular fruit contains a protein called tryptophan. Once it has been digested, tryptophan then gets converted in a chemical neurotransmitter called serotonin. This is one of the most important moodregulating chemicals in the brain and most anti-depressant drugs work by adjusting levels of serotonin production. Higher levels are associated with better moods.

Close-up, the tiny green tips on a broccoli head look like hundreds of cancer cells. Now scientists know this disease-busting veg can play a crucial role in preventing the disease. Last year, a team of researchers at the US National Cancer Institute found just a weekly serving of broccoli was enough to reduce the risk of prostate cancer by 45 per cent.

Root ginger, often looks just like the stomach. So it's interesting that one of its biggest benefits is aiding digestion. It is been used for over 2,000 years to calm the stomach and cure nausea, while it is also a popular remedy for motion sickness. But the benefits could go much further. Tests on mice at the University of Minnesota found injecting the chemical that gives ginger its flavour slowed down the growth rate of bowel tumours.

A nice holey cheese is not just good for your bones; it even resembles their internal structure. And like most cheeses, it is a rich source of calcium, a vital ingredient for strong bones and reducing the risk of osteoporosis later in life. Together with another mineral called phosphate, it provides the main strength in bones but also helps to power muscles. A study at Columbia University in New York showed teens who increased calcium intake from 800mg a day to 1200mg equal to an extra two slices of cheddar - boosted their bone density by six per cent.

Our lungs are made up of branches of several smaller airways that finish up with tiny bunches of tissue called alveoli. These structures, which resemble bunches of grapes, allow oxygen to pass from the lungs to the blood stream. One reason that very premature babies struggle to survive is that these alveoli do not begin to form until week 23 or 24 of pregnancy. A diet high in fresh fruit, such as grapes, has been shown to reduce the risk of lung cancer and emphysema. Grape seeds also contain a chemical called proanthocyanidin, which appears to reduce the severity of asthma triggered by allergy. A tomato is red and usually has four chambers, just like our heart. Tomatoes are also a great source of lycopene, a plant chemical that reduces the risk of heart disease and several cancers. The Women's Health Study, an American research program which tracks the health of 40,000 women, found women with the highest blood levels of lycopene had 30% less heart disease than women who had very little lycopene. Lab experiments have also shown that lycopene helps counter the effect of unhealthy LDL cholesterol.

The gnarled folds of a walnut mimic the appearance of a human. Walnuts are the only nuts which contain significant amounts of omega-3 fatty acids. They may also help head off dementia. An American study found that walnut extract broke down the protein-based plaques associated with Alzheimer's disease. Researchers at Tufts University in Boston found walnuts reversed some signs of brain aging in rats.
