e are a group of people bound by our belief in Jesus Christ. Through our baptism, we are called to share in His work. Therefore we pledge ourselves through the ideal of shared ministry to build a community where all are welcomed, loved, needed, and appreciated; to celebrate the gift of life together in word and sacrament; and to promote justice, peace and equality for all people. - Our Lady of Victory Mission Statement In mid July Our Lady of Victory will be making the annual trip to Montana de Luz in Honduras. We have many needs, some of which we are asking for help for our parishioners to donate so that our travelers can take with them to the mission. We will be putting containers marked Montana de Luz to collect any donations offered in the Church Vestibule & Church Side Entrance; We will collect these items through July 10th. We truly appreciate your help with this marvelous mission. If you have any questions, please call Heather Campbell at 614-3613774.

CATECHISTS NEEDED FOR NEXT YEAR 2011-12: 2011The Religious Education office is looking for a few wonderful volunteers who are interested in teaching children of the parish in the ways of the Catholic Faith. The potential catechist must, first of all, be a person of faith who is committed to living the life of our Catholic values and the life of Christ. Also, if you love to work with children and have a creative approach with them, you would be a blessing to our program. Grades 1st, 4th, and 5th are in need of new catechists. A training session will be held late this summer for those who feel they need additional background to teach. Our Religious Education program follows the public school calendar and occurs on Sunday mornings from 9:30am-10:45am. Please contact Mrs. Schechter, DRE, at olvreligiouseducation@yahoo.com or 486-7678.

On June 30 there will be a showing of the provocative movie: The 13th Day Based on the memoirs of Sister Maria Lucia de Jesus dos Santos, and thousands of independent eyewitness accounts, The 13th Day is a dramatic retelling of the experiences of three shepherd children at Fatima between May and October 1917. On July 21 we will show: God's Doorkeeper - the movie looks at the heart and legacy of Brother Andr - as a man of prayer, of hospitality, and of compassion; a man who draws people in to experience a God who is love. On October 17, 2010, Brother Andr became the first male Canadian-born saint. He is living proof that "it is with the smallest brushes that the divine artist paints the most beautiful pictures." Mark your calendars now for these two movies that will surely stir your soul! Questions? Contact Mrs. Schechter, DRE at olvreligiouseducation@yahoo.com
