Club IT Part One

Two college students with degrees in Business Administration open a disco nightclub
Lisa Teiada and Ruben Keys two hot musicians, Lisa plays a iazz violin and Ruben plays the
drums. As they learn being new managers and owners oI a nightclub operation is very busy and
stressIul work. With the right InIormation Technology and tools in place they can make Club It
a success.
Ruben and Lisa complete their remodeling and interior oI their new club. They are
excite and please at the overview oI the high energy atmospheres there are live bands on Fridays
and Saturdays, along with Tuesdays through Thursdays live DJ`s. . The DJ uses MP3 playlists to
play hip-hop, techno, electronic, and some Top 40s (University oI Phoenix, 2009). The club has
a superb sound system, attracted people Irom ages 20 to 50. Club IT is close on Sundays and
Mondays Ior restock supplies, inventory, business meeting, transactions, etc(Rainer & Turban,
2008).
Club IT will need inIormation technology to ensure it business will succeed in today`s
entrainment market as many other Disco clubs have experienced. Club IT is , very completive
market. I am oIIer a iob as an intern to upgrade and improve their inIormation systems that
would help them to reach all oI the clients. Club IT mission statement oIIers Iree disco dance
Iloors, live music with bands, their very own live DJ`s, which perIormedthewith MP3 playlists
to hip hop, techno, electronic and Top 40 hits. The clientele is college students, proIessional
lawyers, managers, single adults, the aIter Iive crowds, travelers a very well mix oI people out to
have a good time. AIter meeting with the owners and receiving IeedbackoI their needs Ior their
Iast growing operation, Club IT. I oIIer them an inIormation system that would handle their
everyday needs. A Ilat organization structure, will work well Ior Club IT, starting with a
mainIrame, which can be centralize date and processing, personal computers, networks,
intranets, andInternet.
Club IT have a members website, so it customers can keep track oI the diIIerent kinds oI
inIormation related to the organization. The wish list will contains name, phone number, e-mail
address, type oI music customer likes, age, married or single, types oI drinks, andIood etc,. I
will use the B2C E-commerce and use eBay as the website. Though some Iears arose about the
security oI electronic payments, businesses timidly started oIIering online sales. Their Iocus is on
business-to-consumer (B2C) transactions. The club is competitive and organized, given its
customers a sharp edge oI satisIaction known that when they leave the iobs and homes to have a
good time they are in Ior a treat. Websiteis couplewith a traditional, physical business to
leverage the best oI both the Internet world and the bricks-and-mortar business. The Web
business traditionally brings new thinking, new distribution possibilities, and new sales outlets to
the table. While the physical business brings some sense oI stability and possibly even
customers, concepts, brand recognition, and other resources to the Web business.
The security oI e-commerce continues to improve. Innovations such as authentication,
Passwords, digital signatures, encryption, secure servers, and Iirewalls are already in place, and
transactions need no longer be relay via public Iorums like e-mail. Authentication will allow
prooI is obtain, that the users are who they say they are, their identity is veriIied as authentic
(John Wiley & Sons,2009.)
My inIormation strategic advantage requires me to combine all oI the Iirm`s resources,
including Iinancial, production, and human, andinIormation resources. There is more than iust
the inIrastructures; it is deIineas available data, technology, the people and processes within the
organization. The product will beused by management to perIorm business processes and tasks.
The Dell Precision R5400 Rack Workstation hardware paired with the Dell FX100
Remote Access Device Iorms a unique Dell solution. This Ilexible standards- based oIIering,
enables remote access to the Iull perIormance oI a rack workstation Irom anywhere on
the networkIntel Xeon 2.66 GHz, MicrosoIt Windows 7 ProIessional, 256 MB, 80 GB hard
drives, DVD-ROM, MicrosoIt Windows 7 ProIessional, business. The enterprise system is
soItware that needs to be integrated with the organization`s hardware, operating systems,
databases, and telecommunications. The soItware is MicrosoIt, new, easy-to-use Ieatures and
tools in MicrosoIt OIIice 2010 and new OIIice Web Apps help make it great Ior home, school,
and work. With OIIice 2010, in control, completing tasks and producing amazing results
however and wherever they need it. A single, cost-eIIective productivity platIorm Ior diverse
needs, help people brings ideas to liIe with the best productivity experience across the PC,
phone, and browser. Unlike many packages, enterprise systems usually require long-term
relationships with soItware vendors because the complex systems must typically be modiIied on
a continuing basis to meet the organization`s needs. The soItware programs that run on hardware
to enable work to be perIormed e.g., operating systems, databases, accounting packages, word
processors, and enterprise resource planning systems) Other resources that are also included the
role oI inIormation technology (IT) department and how it inIormation resources are managed
areetwork:SoItware and hardware components, such as switches, hubs, and routers, that
create a path Ior communication and data sharing according to a common protocol. Data is
electronic representation oI the numbers and text upon which the IT inIrastructure must perIorm
work. Here, the main concern is the quantity and Iormat oI data, and how oIten it must be
transIerIrom one piece oI hardware to another or translated Irom one Iormat to another. IT
architecture allows the manager to evaluate the IT requirements oI an evolving business strategy
against current IT capacity. The architecture, rather than the inIrastructure, is the basis Ior this
evaluation because the speciIic technologies used to build the inIrastructure are chosen base on
the overall plan, or architecture (John Wiley & Sons, Inc 2009).
Club IT, should gear it business toward it customer the customer orientation strategy
would be the Iocus point. They need to Iind ways to stay competitive out perIorming it rivals.
Find ways to increase it quality, productive, and bring more customer into the business.
Concentrate on making their customers happy, discover they wantto see take place in the
business, oIIer more Ieedback. They can also start by having happy hours, dance contests, bye
one get one Iree drinks, ladies nights Iirst 50 in at halI price. OIIer single nights out, have
doorman to get to know customer by name on a one- on- onerelationship. Open a website to
other business by doing a B2B e-commerce using Amazon as the Internetsystem. Club IT will
be able to sell to more than their clientele. Club IT can also bepart oI a package store as well as
restaurant business. They need to set the wheel Ior branching out withall oI the update
equipment, resource and technology they have the product to do so.
Conclusion
InIormation system uses computer technology to perIorm most tasks. When inIormation
technology (IT) upgrade a business inIormation system management must get involve.
