The DISPATCH Operator Certication allows mines that currently use the Modular Mining DISPATCH System, to certify their operators and ensure that each is instructed on the proper use and implementation of all aspects of the system. Training includes classroom, real-time sessions with a Modular specialist, and hands-on dispatching. There are four levels of certication. Each level is designed to increase the operators knowledge of the DISPATCH system; from basic operating procedures introduced in Level 1, to the highest levels of expertise, trouble shooting, and in-depth analysis of optimization strategies in Level IV. To obtain certication, dispatchers must meet the specied requirements for that level. DISPATCH Operator Certication Cards are awarded for each level of certication achieved. Additionally, Level I participants will receive a Certicate of Accomplishment for each Level I session completed with satisfactory results.
SM

Certication is valid for two years from the date of achievement. A two-year refresher program is available to dispatchers who wish to keep their certication current. Customized refresher courses will be offered, along with the option of additional training to achieve higher certication levels.

By sitting on shift with normal mining activities occurring, the dispatcher is exposed to various events and recovery options. Real-time ow rates of the haulage eet can be evaluated and modied to ensure maximum optimization from the IntelliMine system. Optimization strategies are discussed for normal mine upset times such as: Shiftchange, breaks, lunch, fueling and blasting. Dispatchers also learn how to effectively communicate with equipment operators to complete the tasks at hand. The Dispatcher Competency Assessment is introduced to prepare dispatchers for assessments during Levels II, III and IV. Requirements for completion
Minimum of 36 hours (three twelve-hour shifts) of real-time training with Modular specialist Achieve a FAIR rating or better on Dispatcher Assessment

(2 Days)

Real-Time Dispatching
The nal stage of the Level I Certication Program is a minimum of 250 hours of actual dispatching. This equates to approximately twenty-one 12-hour shifts. It is recommended that this time be used by the dispatcher to work on areas within the system where the operator lacks condence or is unsure of operational functionality. The 36 hours of Real-Time Training can be used toward fullling the 250-hour Real-Time Dispatching prerequisite. Requirements for completion
Minimum of 250 hours of real-time dispatching

This class provides instruction on how to use the DISPATCH system during a shift. It starts with a suggestion of how to begin a shift and then covers techniques for running the shift. The class explains how to recognize a well-balanced, well-operating mine using the DISPATCH system and explores strategies for maintaining that balance. Using simulations, the class covers consequences for various dispatcher actions, and addresses specic problems dispatchers face at their respective mines. The Linear Programming (LP) model is introduced. Main topics of concentration
* Training is available either in a classroom setting or individual tutoring sessions.
