Amathiel was born in Winterspring to Dalcyon, a Traper, and Floranna, a Sentinel.

Though from Winterspring Amathiel has never been "fond" of snow. As a child he spent his free time by the forge keeping warm and watching the blacksmiths work. He eventually accepted an apprenticeship in Ashenvale under the blacksmith, Searos Nightwind. Amathiel became passionate about the new craft he was learning. He wanted to build better, more powerful weapons and stronger armor. To do this, he needed to understand how they were used, so he began training as a warrior. For many years he resided in Ashenvale. It was during this time that fel-influenced Orcs invaded Ashenvale. Amathiel and many other refugees headed north to the safty of Mt Hyjal. Unfortunately this was the last he saw of his mentor, Searos who stayed behined to fight,He's presumed dead. While in Hyjal he met a dwarf blacksmith named, Grike Leadfoot. Leadfoot went into great detail about the city of Ironforge,The Great Forge, Finely crafted the dwarven Weapons and Armor, Amathiel felt drawn to one day visit this city. Amathiel and Grike Leadfoot soon became great friends. Leadfoot taught him many things about the Dawarfen way of doing things.During the events of the 3rd War, the two fought bravely together. In one particular battle, Amathiel took a crushing blow to the side of his head, which resulted in him losing most of his hearing in his right ear. Today, he is sensitive about the subject and struggles to accept partially losing his hearing. When the war ended, Leadfoot invited Amathiel to visit Ironforge. While staying with Leadfoot's family in Ironforge, Amathiel learned from the expert blacksmiths. To help pay his way he did errands for the master blacksmiths and others around the city. After this time in Ironforge came to an end, Amathiel left for Teldrassil. Today, Amathiel continues honing his blacksmith and warrior skills. He is determined to do what he can to protect his people and provide them with the best quality and most durable weapons and armor.

notes Certain materials needed to further pursue blacksmithing was not available in Winterspring. Amathiel packed a bag and headed south to Ashenvale, where he heard many minerals were plentiful. The thought of the warmer climate was something that also appealed to him. He welcomed this change of scenery. I am 550 years old I was born in Winterspring when I was of age I moved to Ashenvale where I learned Blacksmithing and received Warrior training,I have a strong sword arm and a stronger shield arm. I may be inexperienced however the resent world events have motivated me to hone my skills both as a Blacksmith and a Warrior.
