There is a Ghawth in every era that holds the highest status amongst all Awliya on earth. No other Wali in this era can reach the status of this Ghawth. He is also called Qutbe-Madar.He will hold the highest seat of Sainthood, which is called Wilayate-Kubra.The entire transactions of the world are under his command. In this authoritative station,he is called "Abd Allah".He has two viceroys, one on the lefted and the other on the right. The left one is called 'Abd al-Malik' and the other 'Abd al-Rabb'.When'Abd Allah' passes away,'Abd al-Malik' replaces him and 'Abd al-Rabb' becomes 'Abd al-Malik'. Another senior Wali is then appointed in the seat of 'Abd al-Rabb'.This procedure continues till Qiyamah. In the golden era of Nubuwwah,Sayyiduna Rasulullah Allah'(Ghawth)and Sayyiduna Abu-Bakr Sayyiduna Umar Sayyiduna Rasulullah Sayyiduna Umar was the 'Abd

was 'Abd al-Rabb'(right-hand viceroy). After the physical demise of ,Sayyiduna Siddique became 'Abd al-Malik' and Sayyiduna Uthman passed away Sayyiduna Umar became 'Abd al-Malik' and Sayyiduna Ali passed away,Sayyiduna became 'Abd al-Malik' and

'Abd al-Rabb'.When Sayyiduna Siddique became 'Abd Allah' and Sayyiduna Uthman Uthman

became 'Abd al-Rabb'.After Sayyiduna Umar became 'Abd Allah' and Sayyiduna Ali Sayyiduna Imam Hasan passed away,Sayyiduna Ali

became 'Abd al-Rabb'.When Sayyiduna Uthman became 'Abd Allah',Sayyiduna Imam Hasan

became 'Abd -al Malik' and Sayyiduna Imam Husain lasted till the demise of Sayyiduna Ali became 'Abd Allah' and Sayyiduna Imam Husain Imam Zain al-Abidin was the 'Abd al-Rabb'.

became 'Abd al-Rabb'.This set-up became 'Abd al-Malik' and Sayyiduna

.Thereafter,Sayyiduna Imam Hasan

This sequence continued in the Ahle Bayth till Imam Hasan al-Askari

.After him,the next

Ghawth was Sayyiduna Shaykh Sayyid Abdul Qadir Jilani .He will occupy this senior seat until the appearance in the last era of Sayyiduna Imam Muhammed al-Mehdi(as) who will be the final senior Ghawth of this Ummah. In every era,the 'Abd Allah' distributes the Bounties of Allah Ta'Ala to the entore world. No one will receive anything from Allah Ta'Ala without the mediator of the Ghawth. Sayyid al-Makashifin,Shaykh al-Akbar Muhiyy al-Din Ibn al-Arabi states in his Futuhat al-Makiyya that technically, the Wali who is called the Qutb refers to only one person and he is,in fact, the Ghawth himself. He is the SUPREME MASTER of the era. There are some amongst them whose authority is exposed. They regard this exposure of their external Khilafat as permissible, similarly,to the cancealed Khilafat.Such was the Khilafat of Sayyiduna Abu-Bakr al Siddiqu Mua'wiyya Umar bin Abd al-Aziz and Mutawakkil'Alal'lah Abu al-lzz , Sayyiduna Umar al-Faruq Imam Hasan Sayyiduna Uthman al-Ghani Imam Hussain Sayyiduna Ali al-Murtudah

There are others whos Khilafat is concealed and who are restricted to exercise their authority in the open. Some of them were Ahmed bin Harun al-Rashid and Shaykh Ba-Yazid Bustami etc.Generally most Qutbs are not granted external authority.Such was the state of the four illustrious Imams. However, there are never more than two Qutbs in an era.One will be 'Abd al-Malik' and the other 'Abd al-Rabb'.The Qutb al-Aqtab,that is,the senior Ghawth will always be the 'Abd Allah'. Hence Allah Ta'Ala states in the Holy Quran: YET WHEN THE DEVOTEE OF ALLAH STANDS FORTH TO INVOKE HIM,THEY JUST MAKE ROUND HIM A DENCE CROWD(Sura al-Jinn verse no.19) In this Ayat 'Abd Allah' refers to Sayyiduna Rasulullah .All Ghawth are 'Abd Allah' and the Imams in every era are either 'Abd al-Malik' or 'Abd al-Rabb'.Those two will eventually become the successors of the senior Ghawth after his demise. Each one of these Khalifahs is deeply engrossed in concentrating. One is engrossed in the world of Angels and the other in this physical universe.

Horizons of Perfection. Qutb al-Irshad Siraj al-Awliya Sayyid Abdul-Husain Ahmad al-Nuri al-Husaini al-Qadiri Barkati Merah'rawi By Muhammad Al-Husayni - 14.11.2006 03:50:14

As it is impossible for two Siddique's to exist in an era, likwise there will not be two Qutb al-Aqtabs(senior Ghawth) in the same era.The station of senior Ghawth is called Ghawthiyate-Kubra and this is the highest seat of Sainthood. One may ask this question that how is it that there is no senior Ghawth after the demise of Sayyiduna Shaykh Sayyid Abdul Qadir Jilani ?.It is held that Sayyiduna Imam Mehdi(as) will succeed him in the last era. What happens in this long period?Does this seat remain vacant? The answer to this questio is as follows: There are two types of external Imamat. One is Imamat-e-Kubra and the other is Imamate-Sughra.The station of Imamat-e-Kubra(the big Imamat)is held by the illustrious four Imams and the rest of the Imams of the Masajid hold the lesser station of Imamat-e-Sughra.These junior Imams are all followers and subservient to the senior Imams who in turn are followers and subservient to the most senior Imam,Sayyiduna Rasulullah Similarly, these are two station of a Ghawth. One is the senior station known as Ghawthiyate-Kubra and the junior station is called Ghawthiyat-e-Sughra. The junior Ghawth will always be a follower and subservient of the senior Ghwath and execute all commands commissioned to him by the senior Ghawth. The senior Ghawth in turn will turn to the most superior Ghawth(Sayyiduna Rasulullah follower and be subservient to him at all times. ) for instructions and will remain his

There will certainly be high-ranking Awliya from the time of the demise of the great Ghawth till the appearance of Imam Mehdi(as). They will all be subservient to Ghawth al-Azam,Shaykh Sayyid Abdul Qadir Jilani .As Allah Ta'Ala ordained,Sayyiduna Shaykh Sayyid Abdul Qadir Jilani will occupy the seat of Ghawthiyat-e-Kubra and will remain the senior master until the appearance of the final Ghawth-e-Azam of this Ummah who will be Sayyiduna Imam Muhammed al-Mehdi(as)

Question:When a Ghawth passes away who takes his place? Answer:The seat of the Ghawth is replaced in the following sequence: 1.The seat of Ghawth is replaced by one of the Imamain. 2.The seat of Imamain is replaced by one of the Awtad-e-Arba'ah. 3.The seat of Awtad-e-Arba'ah is replaced by one of the Budala. 4.The seat of Budala is replaced by one of the Abdal-e-Sab'in. 5.The seat of Abdal-e-Sab'in is replaced by one of the 300 Noqabah. 6.The seat of Nuqaba is replaced by one of the Awliya. 7.The seat of Awliya is replacedby one of the general Mu'minin.Sometimes this sequence is not followed and if Almighty Allah ordains then HE transforms a Kafir to a Mu'min instantly and replaces the seat of Budala(No.4)whose status is higher than that of the Abdal. Question:Is there a Ghawth present in every era? Answer:Yes,The earth and the skies cannot exist without a Ghawth. Question:Are the transactions of this world exposed to the Ghawth in His meditation. Answer:Not only in his Muraqibah in fact,Almighty Allah exposes everything to him like a mirror at all times. He is Divinely kept aware by Allah Ta'Ala of all happening and conditions. The Ghawth has two vicegerent. The title Ghawth is "Abd Allah".His right hand vicegerent is called 'Abd al-Rabb' and His left hand vicegerent is called 'Abd al-Malik'.The vicegerent on the left side is more powerful and excellent than the one on the right. The spiritual world is unlike this where the right hand person enjoys greater status than the one on the left.In the Spiritual World it is the opposite because the heart is situated on the left side..... help in times of extreme adversity.

Qutbanniyya By Shaykh Muhammad Hisham Kabbani To accomplish these three standards of conduct is to reach the level of Qutbanniyya, to become a Qutub.

This does not refer to those scholars who gained their knowledge from books, but rather those Aqtab to whom Allah opened these six powers in their hearts, and the knowledge of their seven personal names.

The five highest levels of Qutub are: Qutub, Qutub al-Bilad, Qutub al-Mutassarif, Qutub al-Irshad, and Qutub al-Aqtab.

Qutub is the one whom Allah granted a power that brings out from the essence of Muhammad to extract knowledge from non-existence of the Prophet into this dunya. He extracts new knowledge from the heart of the Prophet Muhammad ?. This is the first level Qutub. Qutub al-Bilad is responsible for the order of this world and to hold it together. He knows the needs of every race or group of creatures. Qutub al-Irshad advises the 124,000 Awliya. Qutub al-Mutassarif is authorized to channel the happy angels (as we described before) to different people and creatures, and is responsible even for the smallest worm that dwells inside a rock. And all of these are coming from Sayedena Muhammad (S). Qutub al-Aqtab supervises and is responsible for all other Aqtab. ?

The Quawth Above all five Aqtab is the Quawth. He is between the Pillar of Pillars and the Prophet. He is the pipe, the channel. Sayed Bahauddin Naqshband was one of them, as was Sayed Abdul Qadir al-Jilani. From century to century they differ. The Aqtab and the Quawth generate - directly from the heart of the Prophet (s) K all knowledge's and all events that transpire in this world, from wind, to earthquakes, to rain. They must be ashraf from both paternal and maternal lineage, from Ahl al-Bayt, Hassani and Husayni. If by any chance they are not from the family of the Prophet and they are able to reach that level, then they will inherit from Salman al-Farsi, for the Prophet included him as a member of Ahl al-Bayt. He told his wife not to cover in front of Sayyidi Salman, saying, Salman minee Ahlul Bayt, although he had emigrated to the Prophet from Persia. K Every matter of the universe is in the hands of these Aqtab, coming from Allah to Prophet, from Prophet to the aqtab. Wa yahmiloon arsh ar-rahmanu yaumaidhin thamaaneeya. K Allah created eight angels to carry the Divine Throne; no one else can carry it. Allah created these angels in a form beyond description. These eight were happy to carry the Throne, not proud, but they began to consider themselves the highest level of angels. Allah decided to show them His Greatness and that they are nothing. He dissolved everything underneath them and they no longer had support. Then is the Throne carrying them? K These eight angels send their power to the six awliya we just mentioned. Allah said, I am creating a khalifa on earth. They replied, Are you going to create those who will make corruption on earth and shed blood and ...

K Allah showed that they would be praised ones. In fact, these Aqtabs and the Quawth support the angels. If any of them are from other than the Naqshbandi Sufi Order, Allah gives permission to Prophet, and Prophet gives permission to their shaykh to carry the Naqshbandi Order in addition to whatever other Sufi Order they carry. K That is why such awliya carry power from seven different tariqats. K As Qutubs are five in number at all times, when one passes he is replaced by another. K Allah created unique ones, the essence of the Qutubs, to take ecstasy and knowledge from every name of Allah ?. That knowledge they extract brings them to a state of ecstasy that no one could find except through those beautiful Names of Allah. From every unique name they can experience 700,000 different levels of ecstasy, from which they can pull out for humanity 700,000 different wisdoms. After they move into these Oceans of wisdom and knowledge and their veils are pulled away, they will reach the Divine Presence at a place where they will observe the verse Allahu nuru samawati wal ard: Allah is the Light of the heavens and earth. And they cannot see except that light.
