Profile:
BSNL was born on October 1, 2000 when Department of Telecom converted its operations into a corporate body, christened BHARAT SANCHAR NIGAM LIMITED. Armed with the latest technology, BSNL provides the entire spectrum of voice & data telecom services including VPN, Broadband etc. BSNL is the largest telecom service provider in INDIA. 1. With about 33 million Landline Customers. 2. More than 3.2 Million internet Customers. 3. Indias No. 1 Broadband service provider with over 1 million Customers. 4. Every 4th mobile user in India is a BSNL Customer. 5. To expand the Customer base from 57 million to 125 million. BSNL has now with a view to service its customers has brought out the scheme to provide FREE EPABX SERVICES bundled alongwith its Voice & Data Connectivity.

Introduction:
BSNL shall provide to all its willing customer, requiring 50 or mor extensions, Free EPABX facility. The systems provided would be high end, full featured EPABXs to provide the following services. Intra & Inter Office Voice Connectivity. Data Connectivity & Internet Access through dialup & xDSL. Value Added Services (VAS) - Voice mail and optional services such as Predictive Dialers, Automatic Call Distribution, Information Pop-Up screens, VoIP, Voice Mail, Inter Office Video-Conferencing etc. BSNL shall do so through its appointed franchisees for which purpose it has signed an agreement with M/s Coral Telecom Limited.

BSNLs Scope :
BSNL shall provide the following through Coral Fully functional full featured Voice & Data EPABX System. FCBC & Batteries for adequate Power Backup.Fully protected Main Distribution Frame including krones etc. Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) i.e. in case of xDSL

2 Connectivity. All related software such as fault management software, extension wise billing software, subscribe management software etc. BSNL shall provide the following directly. Required Voice & Data Connectivity through PRI/EI/DID/CO Junctions. Billing as per the applicable tariff structure.

CUSTOMERS SCOPE :

The Customer shall provide the following to avail the benefits of the scheme.
Free Space, Power, Earthing & Environment for trouble free operation and maintenance of the system. Internal wiring within the customer premises from MDF to the subscriber point, Telephone Instruments and Computers. The customer can also procure the Wiring and Telephone instruments on R&G Basis from Coral through BSNL. Undertaking to avail the first described Telecommunication Services from BSNL under the scheme for a period of 5 years. Payment of applicable rent and connectivity charges to BSNL. Advantages

Convergent Solution for Voice & Data services through the provision of DSL Lines in a converged environment.
No Capital Investments in EPABX, which shall be entirely borne by BSNL although the EPABX system shall be installed at the customer Premises. No Maintenance Costs which BSNL shall carry out during the tenure of its services to the prospective customers. No Recurring Costs apart from Call Charges & Rentals on Extension. There will be no rentals on the Junction Connectivity. No Technological Obsolescence wherein BSNL will continuously upgrade the same to meet the service requirements of the customers. Feature transparency across the Organisation through QSig/VoIP or through a new generation of TDMoIP System. Unlimited Free Inter & Intra Office Calls. Direct Inward Dialing Facility (DID) to make each extension behave as a trunk line. Facility to provide direct line

3 connectivity through the System without any interface with other extensions. Value Added Services through inter networking of LAN & PBX to provide Personalised Telephony Applications. Voice Mail (Answering Machine Service) and CTI Applications. Department wise PBX & Subscriber wise billing, if required. Video Conferencing Facility through xDSL or PRI.

TARIFF (Rentals & Connectivity Charges):


BSNL shall charge the customer the following rental per extension per month. No other rentals on PRI/EI/DID/CO Junctions shall be charged by BSNL.
