IMC Networks Announces New Telco Powered IE-MiniFiberLinX-II Media Converter Product Line with Last Gasp Functionality

Telco Power Supports Minimum and Maximum Voltage Requirements

Foothill Ranch, CA June 21, 2011 - IMC Networks, a leading manufacturer of optical access and media conversion solutions for LAN, MAN, and FTTx applications, announces the expansion of its optical network demarcation media converter family, with the release of its Telco powered IE-MiniFiberLinX-II. The IE-MiniFiberLinX-II is one of the most versatile fiber optic NID devices available on the market today. The new line was designed to work with -48 VDC power that is compliant with the Bellcore GR-499 specification, supporting the minimum and maximum transient voltages, typically required by transport equipment used in Telco environments. Additionally, the product offers Last Gasp, a Trap notification feature that identifies when the power lines are down or of a possible power supply failure. Other key features include; carrier grade remote SNMP management, extra tagging using Q-in-Q, and PoE (Power over Ethernet). As ISPs move from T1s and E1s to Ethernet to provide services for voice and data, IMC Networks continues to adapt their product line to the needs of their customers. The latest version of the IE-MiniFiberLinX-II now supports Telco power (-48 VDC) and Last Gasp SNMP Traps. This really exemplifies IMCs commitment to listening to customer needs, states David Zaveski, Senior Sales Engineer at IMC Networks. The IE-MiniFiberLinX-II is a miniature size module and is DIN Rail mountable.
