Rotary Feeder
Rotary Feeders are used to control the flow of bulk material in powder, granular form,
while the material flows through the vanes of the rotor between the inlet and outlet
Advantages:
High Filling Efficiency, Large Throat Opening Minimum Clearance between rotor and body bore. Precision machining of components. Rugged construction. Stuffing box gland sealing. Outboard bearing, external lubrication. Wide ranges and capacities. Many special constructions.
Standard Rotors
Closed Rotor Generally used with bag filters, cyclone separators, Silo, Screw Conveyors and other low pressure conveying systems. This type is provided in standard models. Open Rotor Generally suited for general range of products upto a pressure of 1.0kg/cm2. Stuffing box gland type seals are provided with suitable packing materials. Adjustable Bladed Rotor Suited for most products to be conveyed under a differential pressure of 1.5 kg/cm2. Scalloped Rotor Suited for sticky materials, often provided with Teflon coating for handling food grade materials or where products build up is to be minimised. Maximum working pressure of 0.20 kg/cm2 (g). rf_r1_Dec 03 1

Rotary Feeder
Selection:
The following procedure of selection of right size, type and speed of Rotary Feeder is recommended.
Properties of material handled are to be ascertained. A set of characteristics of standard materials along with the data is available on request. Temperature, lump size, abrasive index of material are to be correctly known. Large lump sizes are handled in bigger models and slower speed are selected for higher abrasive index of material. The required capacity is to be ascertained by the volumetric efficiency of the Rotary Feeder for various types of feeding conditions and operation speeds, refer Table B (Technical Data) Theoretical displacement of various sizes over a range of speeds is given in Table C. Standard dimensions of various models are given in Table A. Specifications and dimensions must be certified for installation by our engineers.
Standard Specification:
