GENERAL REQUIREMENTS Manila residents who are graduates of public high schools of the Division of City Schools (DCS)

Manila and other high schools in and outside Manila recognzed by the Department of Education (DepEd) may be admitted as freshmen into the University subject to the following: (1) presentation of appropriate documents satisfying criteria for applicants and (2) performance in the PLM Admission Test (PLMAT). Upon passing the PLM Admission Test (PLMAT), graduates of the Division of City Schools Manila and graduates of any school in and outside Manila who are residents of Manila shall be admitted as non-paying students. All other PLMAT passers shall be admitted as paying students. Non-paying and Paying are the Universitys academic status. Non-paying students will pay other miscellaneous fees of not more than Php 100.00 per semester (Tuition fees of non-paying students are subsidized by the city government of Manila) while paying students will pay approximately Php 3,500.00 as tuition fee per semester.**
** Tuition fees will change depending on the chosen course of the student upon his/her completion of the General Education program for freshmen (see General Education program below).

QUALIFYING REQUIREMENTS Bring the original copy and photocopy of the following: y Fourth year high school Report Card (Form 138) with a final average of 80 or above Birth Certificate Barangay Certification of Residency Parents Latest Voters ID or Voters Registration Record and SK Voters ID Parents Income Tax Return (ITR) and Real Property Tax receipt (2007) and Company ID

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS Upon satisfaction of the qualifying criteria for application, submit the following requirements:

y Correctly and completely accomplished PLMAT Form No. 1 (Application Form), y y Two (2) 1.5 x 1.5 Photo ID taken within the last six months, and Official Receipt bearing the payment of the application fee.

NON-REFUNDABLE APPLICATION FEE Three hundred pesos (Php 300.00)

ADMISSION PRIVILEGE y Manila residents who are honor graduates of public high schools of the Division of City Schools Manila (Valedictorians, Salutatorians, and First, Second and Third Honorable Mentions) shall automatically qualify for admission upon presentation of certification issued by a duly authorized school official indicating the honor received. (If the certification is not available yet upon application, they may take the PLMAT, however, if they qualify for honors, they shall automatically be admitted and their application fee refunded.)

y Graduates of other high schools recognized by the Department of Education (DepEd) who are either Valedictorians or Salutatorians may qualify for admission upon passing the PLMAT. y Children and/or direct descendants of PLM employees may qualify for admission upon passing the PLMAT

PLMAT EXAMINEES REPORT The PLMAT Examinees Report is a system-generated output which indicates whether or not the applicant is qualified to enroll in PLM. Qualified applicants will be advised to see the Office of the University Registrar for enrolment purposes.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS y Students who took the PEPT and the Non-Formal Educational Test (NFE) are also eligible to apply. Attach a photocopy of the PEPT or NFE test result. As a matter of policy dictated by good norms, fine bearing and deportment expected of a PLM student, no applicant with body tattoo shall be admitted to the University.

Required credentials filed in support of the application become the property of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila and will not be returned to the applicant.

GENERAL EDUCATION PROGRAM PLM offers a general education program during the first year of college work. All freshmen shall enroll in a common program for preparatory courses during their first year prior to enrolling in their choice of academic program. The students academic performance shall be the basis for his/her acceptance to the specific college where the degree is offered.
