The project deals with building a Data Warehouse providing policy transactions, premiums and claim transactions which would integrate all the insurance data for accounting purposes. Franklin maintains an Enterprise Wide Data Warehouse called the EW (Enterprise Warehouse). There are various source systems like INVESTAR, SOLAR, PMA, SMS, AVENUES etc Data from all these systems need to be streamlined into the EW which will serve as the central repository for analytical reporting by users. Investor Data Load was the first major step in this regard. This was the first project to go against the EW and will open the doors for many more such projects to come. Investor is running on IBM Mainframes, the data is moved into EW in two phases Historical Data Load & Incremental Data Load. There are some other loads like Dividends Loads run on every month end. Responsibilities:

Identified different source definitions to extract data from input sources and load into target relational tables using Data Stage. Involved in analyzing functional specification document Working on Data Stage - for Extracting Source Flat Files and transforming and then load Target Database. Used Oracle Enterprise, Joiner, Aggregator, lookup, transformer, and funnel stages. Used Control M for running and monitoring & scheduling the jobs. Preparing Test cases. Tested the Jobs with Unit Test cases and reviewed the other Mappings. into
