Our new 3EP5 porcelain housed surge arresters are based on our well proven
3EP series, designed for protection of high voltage equipment in substations,

e.g. transformers, High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) systems or all kinds
of compensation systems for electric power networks. Permanent research
and development have given them a leading edge in over-voltage protection
for Medium and High Voltage since their introduction in 1929.

The 3EP5 is especially economical and, like all other 3EP surge arresters,
fulfills the highest security requirements, based on Siemens well proven
pressure relief technology. The high reliability of our porcelain housed surge
arresters is due to our stringent quality policy, both in design and on the
shop-floor, resulting in a long service life and maximum cost-effectiveness.
With this latest addition to our portfolio, we can now offer surge arresters
for virtually all applications from 3 kV up to 800 kV in any installation
environment.
